What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Ran up to Hatcher Pass AK with the family (6 plus a dog) to shake down the CVT tents. Nice product but vague instructions so a lot of trial and error, the constant rain made it a trial by fire (or rain) but was a fun time.

I went with the 99" awning and I thought it was going to be too big until we had to use it as a kitchen and loung... can't imagine going smaller now.

Picked up a recovery kit before we headed out and turns out some knuckle head was trying to impress his girlfriend, drove right through the middle of our camp and down through a creek and got stuck... my son had to go down and tow him out with his '95 4Runner. After that (and repairing his blown tire) he left so we had the place to ourselves.

I was holding off on suspension until I ran the extra weight, handled well but definitely needs a heavier duty suspension and some added clearance. Going to place order for OME stage 2 (3 in lift) kit tomorrow which means new tires too.

Great shake down for the equipment.

More from moab, I didnt scrape my skid or sliders once today, not sure if I should be pissed or happy. If youre ever in moab and looking for a relaxing or easy drive with some views hit up chicken corners off kane creek road (right before the mcdonalds when heading south through town).

Looks AMAZING! We have passed through the area a few times as we headed further west. This year's big overlanding trip keeps us north of there, but next year we are planning on hitting Moab pretty hard!

Picked her up and Drove Her home

After a month of waiting flew into SLC to pick her up with 1 mile on the odometer and drove her back to the greater Seattle area.

Damn, isn't ice a life saver though. They've got me on and off Percocet and some iv-based narcotic that hits like a freight train.

Finally had a chance to soft sand test my new 34" Ridge Grapplers. They did very well, especially since they're at 34 psi. I would have air downed if I was planning on all day but just went for a couple hours with my son so "he" could play with his Axial RC Crawlers :biggrin1: Also stumbled upon a clueless tourist that apparently thought their rental Mustang was a 4x4. That took a solid 30+ minutes of digging the entire car out as they were to the frame front to back. We couldn't access their tow hook, which btw they don't have in the rear just in case you guys are ever in this situation as reversing them out was the only option. LOL
