Installed the TE roof rails today. The path to the dark side continues, next up is plasti dip the wheels and see if she likes that enough or if we need to pony up for TRD Pro wheels.
Then it'll be badge black out time

Also went a quick little off road trip, took the fun way up Palomar mountain.

I didn't do anything to the 4Runner today, but I spent some money on it. Ordered the Icon 2.5 ext travel coilovers with reservoirs and CDCV adjusters, Icon 2" rear springs, Icon Alpha 17" wheels, RCI full aluminum skid package, and RCI sliders. My credit card is screaming.....

Picked up and installed my White Knuckle Off Road sliders today. Met lead time and John was a really nice guy. He took the time to explain a few things that made the install a breeze (about an hour). Best part was his shop is about 5mi from my house.

This was my first time with a U bolt mounted slider but as far as I can tell it's very sturdy and passed the jack test. I don't really see the mounts getting hung up, the skids and outer slider should take the hits.

offgrid4x4.com. Matt was really nice, and since they're 3 miles from my house, helped me with the second bracket install - turns out that the bracket gets sucked way down with the first two bolts and I had to remove one additional wiring harness I thought I didn't have to remove. Since I am using the X2 AGM batteries with a 24F for the main battery I also needed longer battery tie down hooks. The second battery is a X2 35. I believe both are Batteries Plus rebrands of the Northstar AGM batteries.

I also put in an HKB fuse to boost the charging voltage for the AGMs.

I'll be posting a thread of the install any day now with a bunch of pictures.

I still need to finish wiring the winch. Also I need to measure how much the suspension settle, worst case i will adjust the coilovers a little bit. I changed the original TRD suspension.

Not in my 5th gen but in my Sister-in-Law's 2013 SR5...

Drove from Anchorage to Homer Alaska. Leaving by Ferry tomorrow morning to get to Kachemak Bay State Park (only accessible by boat) to stay off the grid for 3 days in a Yurt. I figure if I can survive 3 nights in the Alaska widerness with their family and 3 kids under the age of 5 (their daughter and my 2 kids) all other camping trips will be fairly easy by comparison.

Finally wrapped up some wiring projects, pun if you want. Used a prewired bussman relay/fuse enclosure from fleabay. S8 from baja in the bumper, a 40" opt7 off of scamazon, also finished the baja dome light in the rear hatch! [MENTION=129593]MTN4RNR[/MENTION] the light projects into the cargo area perfectly! Also wired in the arb compressor using their harness but with an Aob switch, just hooked relay trigger to small red on their harness

10-4 on that. Luckily my sister-in-law is a ER doctor for the Public Health Service and her and her husband are serious climbers and have run outward bound clinics/expeditions so we are in good hands.

I'll do a trip report when I get back...off we go!

It was an excellent feature separating the TE from the others in '10-'13. First mod I'd do to a gen 5.5 My buddy [MENTION=140132]coltm4[/MENTION] did it as well, looks awesome.

Great minds think alike! Cheers... I also just powder coated my rack and skid plate (desert tan) I'd say it's almost and exact match.
