Here are some pictures from my light bar mount install last night. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I'll see how it holds up on trails. Also, I don't recall seeing anyone who drives with their grill removed. I took mine off just to see how it would look and I actually like it. The light bar would be more effective since it wouldn't be blocked by the grill. Am I just a weirdo? The only negative thing I can think of is that debris or rain/mud would get in easier since there's no longer anything to deflect off of. Anyone have thoughts on this?

This is the bracket I used: https://www.lowes.com/pd/USP-2-in-x-9-75-in-Steel-Concrete-Angle/3692044. Overall I spent about $20 since I had to buy some washers and bolts.

Before with my janky zip ties holding the light bar on.

Had to drill holes since I only have a 22" light bar.

Bumper put back on to see how it would look without the grill. I ended up putting the grill back on but if I decided to take it off again, I'd rattle can the brackets so they're less noticable.

Here it is with the grill back on.

Close up of the finished product. Once I've gone on some trails, I'm going to remove my bumper again and check the bolts. I'll also rattle can the brackets black.

Took the Maxtrax mounts and RTT off and stored it after our St. Augustine Camping trip and Irma evacuation. These Frontrunner quick release mounts are so worth the $ IMHO. Took less than 5 minutes. Hardest thing is lifting it off as the CVT Summit Series is a hefty tent.

I haven't used it at night yet to see if it does shake. I'm going to try it out after work tonight. It's definitely going to be better than the zip ties though. Even after tightening the zip ties as much as I could, it still shook when I went off road.

If it does end up shaking noticeably, I may get 2 small L brackets to stabilize the brackets at the bottom.

Can't get lazy with quick releases and leave it up there for long periods at a time. Someone might walk off with your tent.

They are lockable with TSA cable locks. I will say it's actually a great design because it is the perfect size for the cable so that you couldn't access it with a cutting tool.
