Finally got the Hi-Lift Mounted.

Installed the new SL1 LED Headlamps I received from Diode Dynamics. Took an evening spin and pleased with the conversion. They match my switchback signals from DD very well and I think the diode beam pattern is spot on sharp, the swath of light they throw is maybe better than the halogens. The colour temp is right what I was looking for so I think I'll convert the fog lamps with their product next. I especially liked the plug and play installation, very easy, everything tucked in nicely behind the dust covers.

Did you add the anti hyper blink resistors to the switch backs? If so, which wires did you tap?

Drove it to a self serve wash to pressure wash the salt and snow grime off the body and underside.

How long did most of you that bought new wait until you gave it your first wax? I’ve had it just over 3 months and water still seems to be beading well. I’m just waiting for some free time and good weather to match up to give it a fresh coat.

I waited about 6 months which was way too long. Started to wax and could feel the grit on the paint. Had to do a clay bar treatment on the whole truck before waxing. It was well worth the extra work though.

Finally got use out of the snow tires I mounted in late OCTOBER.

8-10" of snow with deep drifts in my neighborhood, no one bothered to plow the streets, I-25 north of Academy was a shit show.

Through a series of fortunate events I was able to pay off my truck. May I have another 290K worry and car payment free miles.

Yesterday I was able to get into my 1st snow. Was such a great feeling being able to safely get my family to some fun time in the snow and back so comfortably.

Yesterday I finally got around to doing my body mount chop. With my 305/70’s and Spidertrax spacers I no longer have any rubbing at full lock in reverse. Still have to check if it clears once things get flexing, but I’m fairly certain that I’m good and will be able to get it welded up soon. My passenger side rock slider was installed a little too far forward, so I do still rub that a little. Easy fix though.

I also finally greased my Camburg UCA bushings and replaced my rear sway bar bushings. The ride is much quieter and smoother now.

It looks like your slider contacts the body structure when you jack the Runner up?

Yes for sure, I used the Diode Dynamics resistors (tried them anyway without and had the rapid blink of course)

On the drivers side you tap the yellow wire and white with black stripe, on the other the blue and the white are done. I used the supplied taps, have never had an issue with those things over years on my other vehicles. I zip tied the resistors securely using whatever frame or fender cavity / holes I found.

Exhaust installed

Got a QTP Manual exhaust cutout installed this weekend. Decided to get the cutout over a new muffler so I can easily go back to the stock sound. I will post a video later.
