RCI filler plate
Installed the RCI filler plate between the RCI engine skid plate and the front bumper. The plastic OEM filler that covered this space at the bottom of the radiator only fits with the OEM skid plate. The filler plate is 1/8" steel plate with powder coat for $65.
Before I installed it I painted it with two coats of Rustoleum paint from a can using a brush. I let it dry for two days because it's cold here now. My hand painting leaves drip marks and brush strokes but no one can see the plate unless they're about to get run over, and then it doesn't matter. :drum:

After trying for an hour to get the photos I took with my iPhone to not post sideways...I give up... But anywho I just got my Headstrong 1/4 strut spacers on my 2017 SR5 and it looks great! It doesn't look that much higher but it does do a great job of getting rid just enough of the hideous front rake without breaking the bank or changing the ride (or disassembling the struts). What a difference a 1/2 inch makes. I know I am in the minority with my next statement but I prefer the SR5 suspension especially in city driving over Bilstein's 5100's at the 1 inch setting (I have had them on two Tacomas set at that approximate height). I have used this small spacer in the past with zero issues. Hence why I couldn't justified buying new shocks for a 6 month old truck. Again I know most people will say say why bother at all for a 1/2 inch but for me I wanted to keep it simple with a little lift in the front.

Explored some of the forestry roads around my house today. One road in particular had a challenging hole and I decided to test out the 285 Toyo ATII I just had put on. They did great but the hole was deep enough that I managed to scratch up the front valance pretty good because of the clay/rock mix the mud hole consisted of. But I have to say it was pretty fun outside of all the cleaning that had to be done afterwards due to the Mississippi clay sticking to everything!
Pulled both skids and they were definitely filled with clay and rock

Doing a 3rd row conversion on my 2014 Trail. But my runner is at YotaMaster getting 4.88gears and a Harrop Elocker installed.
Do anyone with a trail verify that we have rear curtain air bags all the way to the rear cabin where the 3rd row seats would be...
Sharing what components I have to far...

Put on Falken Wildpeak A/T3W tires in the stock size. Performed well in snow, slush and wet gravel on the short trip home. The OEM Dunlops performed better than expected up until recently when wet traction started to become an issue. I knew when hyproplaning and wheelspin became routine it was time for an upgrade.
Looking forward to putting these Falkens though their paces. Not a great pic - kind of during the nor'easter yesterday...
