Ya it was scary, the mirror coming off was the easiest. I had a buddy around not too worried about breaking my vehicle haha

Got this bad boy installed this weekend!
I opted for the no drill option for ease and piece of mind.
Straight forward install, no issues.
I notice already that up around 65-80mph, the wind deflector vibration gets going and will rattle on my sunroof. A scary rattle too, glass on metal.
So tonight Ill move the wind deflector cross bar up on notch.
As it is it doesnt affect my sunroof operation at all.
Good powder coat too.

I have the same rack, looks great! My ship time was even less....only took 7 days! Either way.....miles better than the gobi lead times:cheer2:

2000 mile RoadTrip from Denver to the SW Deserts
As a member of the Rocky Mountain Overland group, a couple of weeks ago we decided that we needed some warmer climate adventures in SW Arizona as our mountain trails were still covered in snow. Five members drove straight through to Phoenix via New Mexico and then headed out into the Arizona desert to travel into the desert wilderness for 3 days. Planned 300 miles on dirt but only made 175 as we encountered many obstacles, trails to nowhere and a couple of very late nights enjoying beverages and watching/waiting for the Chinese Space Station to streak across the night sky. That's my story and I am sticking to it. We then made our way trailblazing back north to I-10 - back to Phoenix and then home to Colorado via Utah this time. Long adventure but that is what a 4 Runner is made to do. Only group casualties where two flat tires, 3 bottles of good Bourbon and some sore backsides from the 17-hour trip home.

Hardest part was running the wires in the rack down the passinger side. Could have just ran them outside. But I'm to anal, lol. Would have been easier with rack off.I like them
Drove up to the mountains until the roads were closed, parked on the side and hiked a few miles in for some great views.
Highway 88?
Traveling for Easter, a tad after midnight, found myself nearly door handles deep in a flooded out MO highway. Had to reverse out (family in the truck) since my headlights were nearly under water and it was pitch black. Reversing out, the force of the water pushed down the plastic transmission under cover, bending the metal brackets holding on. I'll be removing debris for days.... Really thinking about the full set of RCI's right now...
