but, is it leaking?? might be a surface puncture..

It’s a little low, just got back from a long trip so probably picked it up along the way. I’ve got to go in to the tire shop anyways to sort out a tpms issue so I’ll have them check it while I’m in there.

The weather has finally stablized in the mid atlantic area...Wash DC specifically...so now that its solidly spring...im on my Kawi Concours on a daily basis until Oct.

so to answer the question...what did i do...i let the T4R sit...for the past week...Im sure it appreciates the rest i give it during the summer months.

Got my awning mounted to the stock rails temporarily. Apparently my Gobi will be shipping in the next few weeks according to an email I received yesterday, but I need the awning for a trip to Montana next weekend.

where did you read that? Is this personal experience w/ the MAF calibrator?

It's out there somewhere, the urd calibrator only works at start up and Wot(pretty sure that's "open loop")and almost all driving is done in "closed loop"

And yes I have the maf calibrator

Drank the Kool-Aid and bought a Pedal Commander. Figured with the Bluetooth I could opt for a more discrete mounting location. Found a switch blank in the back of the glove box that I was able to route the cable through, across the center section and down to the Pedal [emoji1360]

City +2 is a whole new world. Playing on Sport was pretty fun too.

Told you it's AWESOME!!:hatsoff:

So I guess it pushes the gas down farther than you normally would at any given point making it feel like you your vehicle is faster??? Is that what this thing does? Is it Electronic wizardry...I'm not drinking the koolaid just yet...to each his own but I think I will save my money and just push the gas down farther when I want to go faster. :fro:

Nowhere near in comparison as to just pushing the gas pedal further. It has a quicker response. Just get one. You'll love it.

I will echo what 12Bravo4R said. I've had the Pedal Commander on my car for 2 days and have noticed an immediate difference. I'm not one for mods when it comes to the engine/drivetrain (which this isn't) but thought I'd give it a try given the Mother's Day sale. And hey they have a 2 week return policy if you don't like it so I thought what the heck. You push the gas and it'll give it gas without the delay. There are a multitude of settings so it doesn't necessarily floor all the time either. You can adjust to however you like.

For instance I live in Park City where the elevation is around 6600ft and Salt Lake is around 4200 ft. Driving up Parleys Canyon on the I-80 is a perfect example where the 4R struggles and where the Pedal Commander made a world of difference. There are a lot of 18 wheelers on the I-80 and it can be a pretty dangerous drive since there's a lot of bends and curves. As well some drivers drive too fast and some drive way too slow on it. It's a pretty steep grade and typically to maintain my speed when climbing I either have to floor it or drop it down to 3rd gear. As any 4Runner owner knows when you drive up a mountain pass you really have to floor it and then there is a delay before it catches up. This can be frustrating and dangerous when you're trying pass vehicles or maintain speed. Then it lags back down to 4th or 5th gear and you have to floor it again. With the Pedal Commander it was just a smooth progression and I didn't have to floor it or downshift. When I wanted to go a little faster or maintain speed I just gave it a little gas. When I wanted to pass an 18 wheeler it did so with ease. It really made a big difference in driving up a mountain pass and given that I travel up and down Parley's Canyon a few times a week it's well worth it to me.

I was skeptical at first too and not a fan of any electronic wizardry but after that experience I'm a believer. There's pro's and con's with everything, it could be another doo-dad that breaks or fails which is why I was very hesitant to get it. Trust me it'll be the first device that goes if I experience any driving issues. But for now it's staying in the 4Runner and IMO should have been the way the 4Runner had been tuned in the first place. You don't have to take my word for it, buy it and give it a try. Return it if it doesn't suit you or if you don't notice a difference.

No one's going to return it!!!

Got my 4Runner washed by the dealer

Actually it was a nice touch from the service department after they replaced my passenger airbag that was recalled (Takata airbag recall). It would be nothing unusual if it was Elk Grove Toyota (California), where I bought the truck originally. But the surgery was actually done 6 thousand miles away.

After Toyota USA turned me down on the recall ("when you drive your truck next time across the Atlantic Ocean, stop by any service in USA and they will do the airbag swap for you"), I went to my local Toyota in my city in Poland. They said, "no problem, it will take about two months to get all parts needed, but we will do it for free". I dropped off my 4Runner this morning and later afternoon picked it up with the new airbag.

The cool thing is that this was their first ever and probably the last 4Runner airbag swap but they still did it with no hesitation. I feel much better about Toyota in Poland servicing my trucks from USA.

Pedal Commander

So I received the Pedal Commander today and it did take all of 5 minutes to connect and about an hour for me to straighten out after the install :)
It does seem to help the punch off the line or a roll on.
I have it set on Sport 4 but that may change.

I think I like it.

Building up little brother...phase1... awning and RTT compromise still in work..head height or fly rod deployment...hmm, believe I can design a solution.
