What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

53K and trying to keep it looking good!

It'll take me another 4-5 years to hit that kind of mileage lol maybe more. I'll hopefully have this truck another 30 years. Only factor is rust however I coated the floors and frame of the truck with 4 cans of Wurth undercoating and everything else is hit with a rattle can 3-4 times a year. Still looks like the day I brought it home and I plan to keep it that way.

...Howdy, Again!

...In other posts I have mentioned that I am a Nature-Photographer...and am converting my 2018 TRD-OR into a self-contained camera/sleeping platform...

...I am a hunter...but what distinguishes me from other hunters is..I only hunt with a camera...

...So to obtain my prize-trophy, I have to get a lot closer to my 'target'....and if successful...at the end of the day I go home with a beautiful photo as my trophy...and the critter gets to go on living as if nuthin happened...

...That way...other photographers and Nature-lovers can also enjoy that same critter..be it an animal, bird, fish...or whatever....

...I understand there are many hunters out there...and that's ok....but I just wish the odds were a bit more even...

...and so, with that in mind, I started a campaign many years ago to level out the playing field a bit more fairly...

...I designed a logo, and trademarked it...

...And so, I am officially stating my view proudly on my 4Runner:...:thumb3:

What does everyone use to level out the area behind the center console where the rear passenger vents are?

I use a roll-a-cot on that side with a thermarest pad so I didn't have to remove the seats or worry about filling holes. I bought a "blemished" one that didn't have a mark on it when I received it... So far it's been working great. Add some black out curtains and the ultimate camping mod and you will sleep well. Of course this is for single trips only but a great way to road trip. Just pull over, take a nap, wake up and keep going.

Changed rear diff fluid. That ish was nasty after 23k miles.

Front diff oil was clear and not discolored, so I didn't change that.

T-case was half tinted bust still transparent so since I was already under and had enough oil, I changed it.

Used the same Mobil 1 75w90 in the diffs. It was on sale for $8.60 at pep boys so I bought 7qts. Process is a straight forward oil change. Remove, clean, replace gasket on fill hole. Remove drain plug, clean, replace gasket, torque to 27 ft lb. Fill until overflow around 1.2-1.3 qt, clean torque fill plug to 27 ft lb. Bada Bing, Bada boom. Crack open a beer.

I had an incredibly liberal teacher, as a child, that had a similar bumper sticker. He used to mock me in class due, to my 2nd amendment upbringing. Looking back, that dude was a d-hole. But, I always cracked up when I saw that bumper sticker! freakin hilarious!

Interesting, so the car remote starts with the lock button? Do you have to unlock the doors before entering while it's running?
