Camped out on the Olympic Peninsula.

A few pics from last weekend. Spent a few days in southern Colorado and was able to run the Alpine Loop, Corkscrew/Hurricane Pass, and Black Bear Pass.
All the trails were relatively mild. The only caveat to that was we decided to run Black Bear Pass in the afternoon which turned out to be a mistake. We got stuck in an afternoon rain shower right when we were about to get to the staircase/steps. Lots of rainfall and hail. We decided to wait it out and let it pass which took about 30 minutes. We waited a little longer for it to dry and by then it was close to 8pm. We checked the terrain and it looked dry enough although we were worried how wet it would be around the switchbacks. Luckily run off didn't create any puddles or slides. Ended up running Black Bear Pass in complete darkness besides my light bars. Had two spotters outside the car the entire time. We didn't take too many pictures since it was dark and we were trying to be on point. I'd say the Black Bear Pass pucker factor is 100x magnified doing it at night. Ended up finishing around 1130pm. All I can say is that I survived Black Bear Pass running it in the dark and wet!!!

3rd row on a Limited are bolted down tight to the body. I can't imagine how they could slide into anything. It's a tight situation. Very secure.
Maybe you can rip a bunch of stuff out and get to the raw details and bolt them in. But sliding them into some pre-existing other situation I would expect would be a no go.
It's not a slide in. It's a bolt down.

How you like those Rocky Road sliders? Install, function, etc?
I have NFabs and use the step for myself and guest but would love to switch to sliders if I can get a similar function from them.

I feel your pain, I’ve been waiting 6 weeks so far to put mine on. But I know the wait will be worth it.

I also had those NFAB nerf bars. I am the type of person that over prepares so I just got them and they are sharp. They come shiny black but I got them re-powder coated to matte. I personally like the look better. When I saw so many people with these it made me feel sour about them. I sold the pair for 150. I feel better having a better bulletproof system.
I did not install them myself since I did not have any help and do not have access to a lift. The nerf bars were no problem doing myself. The shop I went to told me they do have good experience with Rocky Road but form my multiple contacts with them I have no reason. Plus most of the time there is usually a bias in that opinion. The instruction sent were the opposite of the procedure to install and the shop also said they sent the Trail Editions to me. I do not believe that. I called them while I was in the shop and they verified the hardware and said they have no notes for any modification required for the SR5.

You may want to look at the Shrockworks sliders. Their standard comes angled (at least I think it is standard). If you get the filler plate, they will lay them flat so that it can be used as a step as well. I put these on my wife's 4R and she loves them. The only downside is that you don't get the kick-out. Neither of my vehicles have the kickout, which has never been a problem for me, but I know it has for some.
I'll be curious to know how you like them once you get to use them. I've never heard anything about them good or bad, but they sell sliders for other vehicles where no one else will (like the Kia Sorento). I always wondered about their quality...I'd love to hear a first hand review.
