Last week my wife Cris and I went up to Julian, a historic little town in the mountains east of San Diego,
to celebrate our 35th anniversary. Here are a few pics...

A view of Main Street in the early morning:

Although it's late in the season there was still a bit of colorful fall foliage:

The hotel lobby was decorated for Christmas:

Breakfast was delicious! They served homemade granola, OJ, coffee, waffles topped with spiced apples,
and fresh fruit:

On the actual date of our anniversary, Dec. 3, we loaded up the 4Runner full of toys and delivered them to the Salvation Army. That's become a tradition for us, for at least the past 25 years. Here we are at SA headquarters in El Cajon:

What did I do to my 4Runner yesterday?

I replaced the wiper blades. Just in time... Socal is getting drenched! :happy:

a couple weeks back I went camping and hiking at davis mountains state park in TX, beautiful place. The stars at night area fantastic and so are the sunsets. I tried not to stick to my phone much though so these are the only pics i got of the 4runner (which is very dusty and dirty, but it got a wash after this trip).

Bahahaha, I'll occasionally switch it to 2WD and dig my rear wheels in to the sand then try to get out - with a friend around at least. Never gotten stuck yet.

Long Beach is at the most southern point of WA. It's the countries longest beach you can drive on, I think it's something like 15 miles of beach you can drive down.

Great beach. My fiancee's best friend has a place there so we spend a lot of time on that beach. Super fun to drive around.

I really enjoy Julian. I have a friend who lives there, her driveway is known to remove bumpers.

Great beach. My fiancee's best friend has a place there so we spend a lot of time on that beach. Super fun to drive around.

This shot was from Long Beach with my old 4Runner.

Awesome, every time I go I see a caravan of jeeps driving down the beach. Maybe a 4Runner cruise is in order! I love any opportunity I can take to go.

added HID high beams

yes ill get flamed but i never flash my high beams anyway
added TRS 55watt 5500k HIDS to my high beams and yes its stupid bright. it will illuminate the woods to the top of the trees easily 200 years away
its a cone of light forward.
i do have 35 watt HIDs in 5500k in the low beams also and the TRS LED fog lights
next will be maybe 2-30' light bars behind the grille and maybe a 52" curved light on the windshield or a 42" on the bajarack, haven't decided yet
