Did a little bit of exploring around the Cherohala/Tellico area on the way back from Snowbird Mountain Lodge for my wife's birthday this weekend.
We got back and the letters/logo were delivered, so I swapped out the rear hatch panel.

Also removed the roof rails and installed the TRDPRO front upper grill without the letters.
The shipping company forgot to put the letters in, so they should be in the mail.

I bought my 4Runner over the weekend. On Saturday I bought a 2017 4Runner SR5 Premium. It has 28K miles and is a Certified Pre-Owned. I have had 46 cars and this is my first Toyota (unless you count a Lexus I had for about 6 months). I have been driving 20 year old BMWs for the last 10-12 years. I have never bought a car that was this new and the last time I had a vehicle under factory warranty was a car I bought for my wife in 2001.

First, I have to say: Now I get it. I understand why Toyotas sell so well. I understand why people who buy Toyotas KEEP buying Toyotas.

It took all day to buy the car on Saturday (dealing with Dealership BS), but I am thrilled to have it. Yesterday, I spent a few hours cleaning it even more than the alleged detail by the dealership. I clayed the entire car and the paint is so smooth now. Didn't have time to wax it. But, that will be done this weekend.

yea man dealership details ruin so many paint jobs. Its all makes/models.

I've had a few outside rides this year, but nothing on the trails yet. Lower trails are mostly dried out and we're hitting mid 60s for the next three days so I'm looking forward to some actual trail days! Of course after that we've got rain and snow coming this weekend so that might restart the wet trail countdown.

Ya, luckily the Syncline trail system (where I rode) has the best pay dirt and run off that it can be ridden most of the year. Last weekend was ideal conditions where it was drying out but still had the moisture in the dirt but rocks were all dry.

Could tell I still needed some more time on the saddle though because I was a bit shaky on some of the drop offs. Good times though.

I wish I rode when I lived in CO. I dont know why but it just never came up when I was there. I was born in Louisville then moved to CA when I was 4, and then back to Littleton when I was 14 and then I moved away again when I was 22. Really would love to get back there and do some biking.

Love these steps! Went with the 3in instead of the 2in so the bar can be closer to the truck. I feel like the 2in have too much space between them.

how you like those scene lights on the roof rack? i almost ordered those but stuck with BD S2 scene lights.

Got the airbag recall done on my 2016 SR5 yeah nothing fun but it had to be done. Took them about 3 1/2 hours.

Puttsed around with the truck some.

Removed the inlet scoop from the lower air box. Considering the TRD inlet instead just to seal against the fender.



Drained the 42DD Catch Can after about 2 months & 1800mi


Also ordered one of these! I guess my sci-fi stuff will have to come off.
