First week- Wheels/tires, grill and rack being made.

Cleaned the interior on both 4runners, including vacuuming, cleaning with Griot's Interior Cleaner and my annual dash application of Griot's Vinyl and Rubber dressing. That stuff is a real dash saver, especially in the hot Phoenix sun and no shine.

I also wiped the Limited leather seats with water and dried. Next time, woolite.

So far their wet/dry performance has been stellar. I have not been able to test hydroplaning performance yet, but they are solid. I do have a slight vibration at highway speeds 60-80 and needed a rebalance and re-alignment, but they are great tires so far. They do transmit road imperfections more than the Bridgestone Duelers, but that was all they were good for. I was initially at 35 PSI but dropped down to 33 to absorb more of the road imperfections. It was a toss up between these and Falken Wildpeak AT3s but the Falkens were a special order. So I chose what was in stock.

That’s good to hear minus the rebalance... I was also eyeing the wild peaks but have narrowed my choices down to the Grabbers or the K02’s... Well see what the wife wants to go with!

It can happen a lot with AT tires. I also have brand new wheels and the tire can slip a little rotationally causing a new imbalance. K02 were a little pricey and had heard some bad thing about them in rain. Now, This is just from people on the forum here but I was swayed enough to go with the Generals. Good luck and let us know what the wifey decides.

Dropped it off for the airbag recall. I'm hoping they don't screw things up too badly, the claim it will be done tomorrow. Gave me a Sienna to roll with until it's done.

Currently about half way through a 6 week road trip from Texas to Montana, then down through Wyoming, Kansas and Missouri. Today I drove from St Louis to Cincinnati, where I'll visit some friends, then tomorrow to WV, where I'll see my parents, then down to NC for a week of work, then back to Texas from there. The 4 Runner I bought in February is handling it all like a champ, aside from nearly getting stuck in a deep canyon when all the roads turned to pure ice under 14" of snow, but I can't blame it for that. I eventually got out, even if I had to backtrack instead of forging ahead.

[2016 4Runner SR5]

I'm likely going to keep my SR5 wheels which is one of the main reasons I'll probably just stick with the 265s. I commute 40+ miles round trip 4x/week and I rarely leave the pavement. But dang, do I like the look of 285s.

Run a 275/70/17 which still looks great. You really shouldn't run a 285 on a stock 7" wide SR5 rim and if you do you will absolutely need wheel spacers to clear your upper control arms. Adding those wheel spacers will increase the likelihood of needing a BMC due to having a little too much back spacing. One modification balloons into 3 more, just how it works. I ran a 295/70/17 at 1.5" of lift with zero rubbing and nothing more than a fender liner mod. It's all about the wheels, they make all the difference.

Hitch Safe

Installed a Hitch Safe. Fit was little too tight so put the corners lightly to the bench grinder. Then a bit of black electrical tape wrapped for snug, rattle free fit.
Great for securing key while at the beach.

Upgraded headlights and interior lights

I upgraded all of the interior lights, and installed xenon depot hid low and high beams, plus amber led fogs.

Yes sir! Found a TRD Pro badge on eBay that the letters where not connected, made it pretty simple. Used painters tape as a straight line.
