Mang the only time i go to a mechanic now is only for major repairs. Otherwise everything DIY. Save some :wof:

Installed the remote start from accessoride. Very easy to install. Had to get ahold of the customer service with some troubleshooting to get it going. Excellent customer service. Wintertime will so much better now!!

I've always done it myself, mostly because I don't trust people. This was the 11th oil change for the 4R. I buy oil filters and oil in bulk, and keep a few air filters on hand.

Funny this came up again since I did exactly what I didn't want to have do. I went out & bought a Tundra :lmao:

This came about because we were leaving the Flaming Gorge in Utah last week (3rd trip with the 4Runner & TT combo) and there was a very steep 8-9% grade to get out of the gorge. The 4Runner was screaming in 1st & 2nd gears and still only doing about 25mph up the hill. Traffic was pissed at me & I was worried about a CEL since 2nd doesn't have TC lock.

Ok, V8 time.

Quick trip to the Arctic Ocean for a swim

Just got back from a trip from Anchorage to the Arctic Ocean, via the Dalton Highway.
1700 miles of mainly dirt roads, beautiful hills, some dall sheep, caribou, and a chilly morning swim.

Well, there is a wire loop hanging out one side of the module. The instructions say only to cut it if you get an indication on your dash that you hood is open. I don’t get that indicator so I didn’t cut. The module wouldn’t program so I called the customer service and they told me to cut the loop. It worked perfect after that.
With the 90+ degree days we’re having it’s been awesome to start the truck from the office and get it cooled down.

Ah right on, yeah I didn't cut mine, but the remote start starts with the hood open so I need to go back and cut it. Thanks for the info, I also have loved starting the truck from inside and having it cool when I get in

I was looking to do exactly this after finally getting a wireless charger for my night stand. I thought some adhesive in the center of the ram mount would be perfect.

Which charger did you go with?

Power is stored in a 300 watt rechargable battery pack. Running a fridge I picked up on Amazon. Actually everything came from Amazon.

Scored some really nice floor mats for a steal and finished my "FJ" shifter knob swap off with the TCase.

Pics are crap as usual. Everything looks great in person. Waiting on a head unit swap, someone to come up with some blackout HVAC controls, and carbon fiber wrap that stupid dash peice on the passenger side (the one that seems to come pre crackle finished and matches nothing).
