Fumoto is still a better product. No need for a hose, etc or an adapter to drain it. There is a reason why Frams sure drain (same product) was retired.

I toyed around in Carista and set my windows to roll down by holding the unlock button on the remote just like I have with all my other cars previously. The only irritating thing is there is not an option to have it roll them back up by holding down the lock button. You have to insert the key in the door and hold it over till they roll back up.

just a simple obd2 reader with functionality to change some settings. used it myself, works fine. also works with apps like torquepro to monitor the engine.

I was bummed you can't get the hatch window to roll down with the key fob. I also turned off the seatbelt chime.

I turned off the seatbelt chime as well. I think those were really the only changes I made.

Power Liftgate
I installed this power liftgate kit a few weeks back. Article written on Trail4Runner for those interested. Cool company, very responsive to questions and support. They're doing a discounted price for 4Runner owners for the full kit.
I was skeptical at first because I'd never heard of the company and TBH, they really don't make any other products I find overly appealing. Took the plunge, had some horrible instructions and was kicking myself for getting into the project. But once I figured out the right wires to tap into, it wasn't bad and I love having the liftgate. If you buy this kit, use my article's install instructions!

I just bought a 19 Pro Voodoo Blue last week and christened her in this weekend.
I live in Colorado Springs and took a trip up to camp on Buffalo Pass near Steamboat. I put roughly 375 miles on, including a lot of putzing around on the pass driving to various lakes and going down to Steamboat to hit Strawberry Park Hot Springs.
Overall I'm happy as can be coming from a 2015 F-150 Ecoboost if you don't take power into the equation. The suspension soaked up bumps like a champ, which was a nice change from the F-150. I will say my previous Grand Cherokee Trailhawk was slightly smoother on mild bumps and washboards, but then again, the Fox suspension wont fail on you at 62k.
Overall I'm happy. 19.6 MPG average for the total trip.

I've had several vehicles with Fumoto valves, I'm not saying they are bad...just that I like the looks of this one better. Why were the Fram Sure Drains retired? I have zero experience with them, FYI.

They just couldn't beat the competition with Fumoto. Frame sure drain must have sold their patent to other companies as this product is the exact same design.

I believe you’re correct. In addition to Valvomax I saw a similar one made by a German company Stahlbus. I read that years ago someone contacted Fram about why there wasn’t a Sure Drain for the threads of their vehicle’s drain bolt. Fram replied that they wouldn’t be expanding their models until sales of existing ones picked up. Sounds like a Marketing Catch 22 situation, and why compete when Fumoto has a history of a great product for so many vehicles.
However, from all the reviews I could find from Amazon to bobistheoilguy and other forums, the Fram product got high marks from users. They liked the low profile, simplicity, dust cap, and low price. A lot of people were wary of possible failures of the Fumoto lever, or catching it on some trail debris, however misplaced this worry is. I could not find any instance of a complaint about a Sure Drain failure or leak. Or of anyone complaining about losing the drain coupler/hose. I imagine everyone puts all their oil change gear (drain pan, filter wrench, funnel, filters, etc.) in one place anyway so they know where to find it. And if you lost the coupler/hose you could always go back to the original method and unscrew the Sure Drain.
This Valvomax sure looks similar to the Fram SD. And it gets good reviews for its performance. I'm going to give it a try.
