What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Soooooooooo I just got my Trail back from my autobody guy ... after him having it for ALMOST 10 months. Long story short I smashed right into a pole last winter post ice storm. The road was untreated and completely covered in ice. All the airbags went off, but I was totally fine. My insurance company decided not to total it out and and so began 10 months of me not having a car.

Toyota had the airbag recall on the T4R just when this happened so it sat around at the autobody for four months. When they got the airbags in my mechanic called saying the headliners doesn't match with my moonroof - ahhh! I remembered I had it put in by the dealer sans purchase - so I had to wait two months to have them track down the shop who did the install so they can cut the headliner to fit.

I just got it back last Tuesday and today I decided to throw on the Overland Depot Raptor lights kit, TRD Pro Grill and their yellow fog overlays. I am so happy to get the rig back. They detailed the interior and MANNNN it smells BRAND NEWWWWW :whoo:

Man oh man- I did a double take when I saw your photos, I have almost done that exact thing on a road exactly like that near my house. slight kink in the road with a telephone pole on the outside edge, Runner slides, the electrical nannies cease power to the go pedal and sliding towards doom. 10 months long time to wait. Now help out the next guy and get a chain saw and remove that telephone pole, lol.

Nice. Which heated switches are those?

This is my first experience with aftermarket heated seats. No where near the quality of OEM but good enough to take the chill off. Switches are cheaper then OEM as well and it doesn't have that satisfying click when you turn them on. Switches fit perfectly in the blanks though. One of the panels is a lot weaker than the others, I tried it with all the other connections but for some reason it just won't heat up as fast or get has warm as the others. If you hook them up the normal way they will light up green as long as the car is on. I didn't like that so I wired them so the green light is only on when my lights are on. I can't get the green to dim when I dim the rest of the interior though. Overall I'd give them 3/5. Here's the link if you're still interested.

Man it was an awful morning ... 140 reported accidents all over MA that day! I remember just yelling "NOOOOOOOOOO!" then KABOOM air bag to the face.

What's crazier is a month later I left to solo backpack Asia for 5.5 months and joked with my autobody guy that it be funny if when I'm back it's still not fixed.

I got back mid July to no runner

Picked up this little gem, all aluminum...Got it from the original owner that hauled it down here and used it once. Its a "cargo lite" from micro lite trailers. Doubles as a little toy hauler. Hoping to explore some new bike trails this winter.

Installed LED lights int/ext - massive difference.

Added some HP via Loveland Ski sticker [emoji472]

Carried the fam and paddleboards to Watauga Lake, TN. Explored some forest roads while there.

Added a lot of light, i used two screw to attach the light fixture to the headliner, it is not very sturdy since I didn't use any backing to it. But as long as i dont pull on it, it isn't going anywhere.

It’s a Kenwood DMX7706S. I added the iDataLink Maestro to maintain steering wheel controls and the added gauges.

I got Dobinsons coils and JBA UCAs installed yesterday. Then took it for a test drive in the mountains. UCAs make such a noticeable difference in drive-ability. Looks like I'm still going to need a BMC - still just a little rub when she flexes at full lock.

Mt Rainier was out in all her glory for the sunset, which was nice.

With the Bilsteins @2.5" and no UCA, the truck kinda wandered a little bit. Particularly if there was a groove in the road - the truck would want to follow that line. It wasn't horrible, but it was something I noticed right away when I had them installed last year.

Now, that truck goes where you point it. I don't feel like I'm fighting against the road to go in a straight line. Wish I had done that from the start.

I ordered H&R Lift springs 2" front/ 1" rear. I haven't read about anyone else using them and couldn't find any pics online. We shall see.
