This is the fifteenth in a series of videos from my 2019 trip, where I explored old mines, mining camps, ghost towns and other historic sites in Nevada and the Mojave desert.

First oil change.
First oil change. Pennzoil Platinum 0W20 full synth, Toyota oil filter and replaced the housing with a Toyota metal one (thanks Chris!) I like being able to see the filter element and check it for metal or whatever but the process is pretty messy. I put a piece of hose on the plastic drain thingy so that helped a bit. I think next time I'll remove the skid plate instead of just hinging it down. It was kinda in the way.

You're welcome! Hinge feature works great if the vehicle is on a lift. If you're on your back in the driveway, it makes the job much more of a PITA With the skid removed, the process is not much different than any other oil change. Element vs spin on, same difference to me and I also love being able to inspect the element and see if there is anything in the filter housing cover. A LOT of people reported finding metal filings settled in the filter housing when they went 10K before doing their first oil change. Some people still think 10K oil changes are a good idea, I don't get it.

I installed the Sprint Booster and S&B intake yesterday. The booster really changed the throttle response. She no longer feels like I'm trying to accelerate a bus. Then I added the intake and she spins up with less effort. The added sound at about 1/2 throttle is nice and she sounds impressive at WOT, even without cat backs.
I've only put about 35 miles on her since and I know it'll take a half dozen or more tanks until I have good data but indications in these 35 miles lead me to believe I'll be seeing at least SOME gain in fuel economy.
