Yeah, the mill was capable of processing 200 tons of ore per day. It only served that one mine, so they must have really worked their butts off getting that much ore out of the mine every day.
As for what got me interested in this stuff...ever since I was a kid I was always interested in old things, and always wanted to go camping and exploring. Then when I was a teenager started reading Desert magazine, and was amazed to learn that there were all these cool old ghost towns and abandoned mines out there.
But I never got the chance to go to any of them until I was in my early 30s. Been doing it ever since, although my travel time is pretty limited due to my wife's health issues.

..Go To Walmart's camping/auto dept...for about 30-bucks you can get a set of stackable nylon risers...
.....they look like giant legos..are square...and can be placed under various tires to level out ur T4R....:thumb3:

After almost 45K on the Duratracs, this morning I had a set of Falken ATW3s installed in 275/70r17 C flavor, including the spare.
Have only put 25 miles on since they installed but these tires are insanely quiet compared to the Duratracs, even when those were new, and definitely more comfortable. Anxious to see how these do in the rain coming in tomorrow. Not sure when I'll be off-road next but I can't wait to see how these do. Discount Tire seemed to nail the balancing on them 1st go, no issues up to the 75MPH I hit on the highway.
On-road there is zero rubbing - was doing full-lock turns, forward and reverse in my cul de sac to see if there would be any. And I verified even with the bigger spare I still have room to slide the bike rack and hitch as far as needed (was concerned about that).

Inside door handles.
I never liked the chrome so I got these. Inexpensive and they look pretty good. A little chrome has to show at the rear because they would hit the door when opening but I can live with that.

Upgraded from bungee cords to the Yakima Traction Board Mounts. Love these things, work great mounting to the Gobi Rack and holds my cheap Boar Offroad boards perfectly

I wish they came in black but I don't see them listed. I did find them in a dark black woodgrain which I may order. Looks like the texture might match the panel below the passenger air bag but hard to tell.
