I like the concept, but I feel like I'd be wrecking knuckles fairly frequently while shifting or plugging things in. Reaching around a lot of that top mounted stuff to get to the A/C controls and what-not... Hmmm...

Agreed. Looks like it obstructs more than anything. When I switch to 4H or 4L I want to be able to just reach in and grab the t-case lever and not have to finesse or snake my hand around or under something. Good luck switching to 4wd on the fly. If you actually mount something on it you block access to your HVAC controls and it kills a cup holder.

It's a pretty stupid design IMO. Almost like someone wanted to just add more cages and molle without actually thinking about ergonomics.

Purchased BajaDesigns SAE Squadron lights for the fog spot and now just need to find some time to install. :rockon:

Also working on a DIY upper grille light mount and will add some more pods or a small lightbar up there. We'll see.

Keep an eye on those SAE squadrons. Baja will be sending out a retrofit to fix a glare threshold failure on them in the next month or so, but currently they're not street legal so be cautious while using them.

I would like to see your upper grill mount when you have more updates! I am also looking to add some lights there. Keep in mind, if you get a pair of lights that are SAE J581 compliant you can use them on the road as auxiliary high beams! Rigid makes a few of these, as well as Diode Dynamics. DD currently has 6" bars that you can use in pairs, as well as upcoming pod lights called the SS3. The SS3 will be available in high-beam and fog patterns, as well as offroad patterns like spot and flood.

I picked up a 14' John Boat with a trolling motor and trailer for $150. Took it to my dad's property in Coupland. He has a 16 acre lake to tool around on. Cool thing is, the guy I bought ut from is an old retired welder. He made the trailer himself and it has this really sweet ass tortion style suspension that I have never seen.
