Did the fender mod in advance so no observed rubbing at full lock. Originally tried test-fitted with Spidertraxx spacers but the tire rubbed on the inner fender well so pulled them out and will reconsider for the future when I have more time to make space.

you can get them in a 285/70-17 E rated for 500$ mounted and balanced? Doubtful. Then again the fact i got my k02's for 1k OTD was surprising lol

E rated tires are definitely not needed for a 4R but doesn't hurt to have a stronger sidewall off road. I have used the KO2 and the AT3W on my 2016 4R and the AT3W performs better IMO They are about 2/3 the price of the KO2 so why even think about it? The decision is easy to make. Just an FYI for people that don't leave pavement, they make a P rated 285 AT3W which cuts down on weight. For those actually worried about fuel economy, either tire will definitely hurt.

Ya e rated 285 AT3W's here and they are a bit too stiff for sure. Good piece of mind going over all the jagged desert rocks tho. I bet they would be alot better once I add all the armor onto the truck. But, with only a lift it's a smidge more jarring then I would prefer.

The tires are a small part of the ride quality. Suspension and pressure plays a much bigger roll. I run 295 E rated tires with 6112s up front and 5160s out back and it's the most comfortable lifted vehicle I have ever driven. I run the front tires at 32 PSI and rears at 30 PSI

Yeah tbh with dobi setup it would prob benefit from the added weight of steel skids and slides. Tiddly bit harsh at stock weight. Same with the tires TBH.

I'm running around 37-39 psi street and that gives me a nice even contact patch. I had it lower but it looked like I was getting a lot of outside wear. I drop it way down offroad 15-25 depending.

wifey runs same setup but fox 2.0 out back. entire truck is stock weight. tires are at 32 all around. No issues, wearing crazy slow. She LOVES how it handles with the e rated tires. I agree, e is overkill but it was in stock ready to go so yolo.
