What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Is there enough wire in the kit to put the USB ports in the center console? I can't stand a cord always hanging out of the dash!

If you look in your glove box, top left, there is a blank that is the same size as the OEM USB port on the dash currently. I relocated my OEM USB port to inside the glove box and used the blank from inside the glove box to cover the OEM USB port hole in the dash. I only used it for my thumb drive anyway and I didn't like seeing it sticking out of the dash. OEM wiring is plenty long for the relocation so no modification of any kind is required.

The Amazon seller of that kit got back to me and said it won't work for android auto/ car play on the 2020's, said its just a charger

Just changed from the stock Nitto Terra to a Nitto Ridge. Looking forward to driving on some dirt. It's been great on the road and in rain. No appreciably difference in road noise. Question for everyone. When you are swapping out tires, do you also put on a new spare if you're not changing size?

Stock spare is perfectly fine.

Had to go play around Bull Shoals Lake today. Here in the Ozarks of Missouri, you can drive right down to the lake and put yer tires in it if you want to.

Finally got the wheels/tire mounted over the weekend.

First time seeing it got me as excited as when I laid eyes on the T4R back in 2015.

Tires: General Grabber AT/X 275/70/17

Noticed there is rubbing at full lock on the front mudflaps - will take a heat gun to it or remove altogether.

Yes the kit comes with a ~32" of wire, so you can mount the USB in few locations, including the blank plug between the steering wheel and center console. Plus you can always solder in some more wire to lengthen the harness.

I really like the fact you just disconnect the factory plug at the end of the power port then connect the harness plug to the power port and reconnect the factory plug to the harness - you can see the "pass through" at the left end of the harness, it's also nice that USB has a disconnect.

I do recommend using the power port in the center console and taking the extra time to go through the disassembly process similar to removing the radio. It's very tight trying to disconnect the power port plug in the storage bin.

Yeah I'd be careful about weight in that area. I have the OGE kit with a Group 35 battery in that area. It was tight and secure but I think the weight combined driving on rutted, corrugated Utah roads caused the aluminum battery tray to crack at the weld and loosen. Over time the weight of the battery broke the bracket thing it sits on. I eventually had to drill and rivet the bracket back so that it's secure.

I contacted OGE about it and they were surprised. Matt Carter replaced the aux battery tray at no cost and sent it out very quickly. So I will have to say at least the customer service was really good and the cracked tray seemed to be an isolated incident. I bought the shrockworks kit to replace it but just haven't had time to redo my dual battery kit just yet.

Good points on the weight. Looks as if my H6 is about the same weight as your 35 (38 ponds).

I did have a problem with the OEM sub bracket that is spot welded to the fender and most of the little 1/8" spot welds broke free when the Odyssey battery was in there. I drilled out the six holes and installed stainless 1/4-20 bolts with big fender washers underneath, then sprayed the hardware with undercoat on the tire side of the fender.

Back when I had an issue with my OGE bracket I got some rather profane emails from the owner so I can't recommend anybody buy from him. If I need a bracket less prone to having weld failures I will buy from C4 Fab and save $82 to boot..

The C4 bracket has a better design with an additional tab grabbing a bolt on the firewall.

It is not an OZ, its a tent I am testing for a friend that is starting a tent company here in Vegas. Its called Red Rock Camping Company. The tent isn't for sale yet. To answer your question, it can fit inside the truck, but is best served on your roof.
