Today at 99,000 changed plugs myself, cleaned MAF, Throttle Body and AFE CAI while on vaca at parents home in Kissimmee
Warmer to work here at 88 than NY 38

Came across a great deal on some Trail roof rails with crossbars and cleaned them up today.

They were pretty sun damaged so used a couple coats of Rust-oleum Bumper and Trim on them. Not sure if that’s the right stuff to use or how long it will last, but turned out great and looks better than it did.

Can’t wait to get them on this weekend!

Last Monday my wife and I took another trip up to Julian, in the mountains east of San Diego. Our route took us across Mt. Laguna via the Sunrise Highway. We were thrilled to find that it was snowing, and in the higher elevations there was already a few inches of snow on the ground.

In most years there are usually several snowstorms in the mountains each winter, but it often conflicts with our schedule so it's been years since we've seen snowfall. (Also, most of the time the snow attracts huge crowds of tourists, which makes going there a real pain.)

On our way to the mountains we passed a nice looking white 4Runner with a rack and ladder plus other mods:

The road had recently been plowed, but still had a layer of packed snow and ice. Fortunately no one was preventing us from going through without chains. I just put into 4wd and Megaweapon handled it like a champ:

At one point we stopped long enough for me to make a brief flight with my drone (top-center of photo). The drone flew just fine and was unaffected by the falling snow:

Tires KO2

I was back an fourth between the Cooper ST Maxx and BFG KO2. I’ve had a few sets of KO2s in the past and they’ve always been a great tire.
285/70/17 replaced the 265 stock Nitto last night. No rubbing and very happy with the result.

My new Rigd has a 10,000 lbs towing capacity. If you factor in the cost of powder coating, the Rigd unit isn't that much more in price. The Rigd comes assembled and powder coated already.

I like this RigD carrier.

Have you actually towed anything with it?

if so, at what weight?

Never mind. I emailed them. While they state 10k pounds, what it really comes down to is , with the carrier installed, you can tow aprox half of the 4runners normal weight and exactly half of the standard tongue weight.

TRD Cold Air Intake on 2020 TRD Pro

Not today, but a couple days ago... I installed a TRD Cold Air Intake on my 2020 TRD Pro.

I've only driven 50 miles so far and it's almost all city driving. I work 6.5 miles from home and I used to get 15-16 mpgs. Now I'm at 17 the past few days.

I did notice that response and accellerating has improved, especially when coming from a stop. As for sound... it's basically the same as before, maybe just a tad bit louder when you accelerate hard. Nothing obnoxious or to complain about and I'd recommend the upgrade for anyone interested in a CAI.

Didn't really do anything to mine today, just bought it! 2013 SR5 4x4 with 125k on it. Came over from a third gen Tacoma. NO REGRETS. Love the way it drives. Looks so pretty in my garage. Only thing I hate is these stupid reflector headlights that I can't use my old LEDs in. :guitar2:

Spidertrax with oem trail wheels and tires. No rubbing at all! Every search I found on this forum said that I would rub slightly with OEM tires. Not always the case I guess! Looks much better, especially with the limited as the body kit makes the tires look so tucked

2. Where's the cheapest place to get a Toyota CAI
3. Does it need to be installed by Toyota to be covered under warranty?
