That area is incredible. I’m from the east coast and spent over a month in Sacramento for work and tried to get up there as much as possible!

I’m a JL owner and 4Runner owner. I forget sometimes that I’m in the 4Runner and I wave or peace sign. Today I caught myself doing it to another 4RUNNER that was clean with no response. I want a 4Runner sign, I’m thinking I see you meet the fockers style. Thoughts or suggestions?

When I had my JK, I noticed most if not all JL owners didn't wave so I stopped waving to the JL's unless they did it first. I waved at a TRD Pro the other day and he waved back. I know it won't be a thing with 4 Runners though.

As for your rescue: That's not a real Jeep. << It's a Jeep thing. Nothing is a real Jeep except whatever Jeep the person is driving who says "that's not a real Jeep".
YJ Wranglers were "not real Jeeps" because of square headlights
TJ Wranglers were "not real Jeeps" because of coil springs
JK Wranglers were "not real Jeeps" because of plastic fenders and 4 door versions
JL Wranglers are "not real Jeeps" because of push button start, electronics, other things that made them civilized, Fiat ownership, etc. etc.

The thing about each new generation of Wrangler is it draws in many non-Jeepers who don't know about the wave thing. I saw the same thing from JKs when I had my TJs. By the time I had my JK I got more waves than not. Then I got my JL and noticed the same thing. Most older Jeeps' drivers waved but many JL drivers did not. Then I got tired of waving and got rid of the JL. Well that wasn't the only reason

I had a 2017 ORP in Nautical Blue. Absolutely beautiful color! Looks amazing when shined up. Unfortunately it scratches like a MF'er when you take it off road [emoji1787] just keep her on the wide-open trails away from branches and you'll be perfectly fine.

My wife and I drove from Pinetop AZ up and around Painted Desert National Park and Petrified Forest National Park. And when I say around, I mean just that... We missed seeing the notice of a road closure, so, instead of being able to drive through the Park, we found, as we got up to the North Entrance ,that the road was closed halfway through the park (and will be that way until the end of March).
So we made the best of it. Explored the north end of the park, then took a circuitous route back by a route that included some unpaved county roads and forest service roads. Our reward was seeing a herd of 20+ elk.
All and all a great rainy day in Northern AZ.

Took off the roof rack for painting- she actually looks pretty sleek without [emoji41]
Also replaced the back door and rear hatch speakers with some cheap Rockford Fosgates. These, plus a small pioneer under-seat sub and tiny in-line Alpine amp tucked away in the dash make for a HUGE improvement in sound [emoji16]
Hey, what kind of amp and sub did you install. I'm trying to do a similar upgrade. Any install tips for the amp in the glove box?

There was another thread a while back about this. If I remember correctly some people were saying a four-finger wave minus the thumb (for 4runner ofc) would be the way to go. I dunno I dont think it's caught on.
I'll wave or honk or something if I pass a nice built 4r though.

Yea it was a quick fix, tabs popped off easily. Didn't notice any visible damage to the speakers. Also gave me the chance to add some sound dampening behind it in the door panel. Thanks.

I purchased the 6 and 10 connector wiring so I can wire these into it and put the sub and amp inline with the factory head unit wiring. I actually did this originally for a 2016 Crosstrek that I owned, but it actually matched up perfectly with my 2017 4Runner and now my 2013 4Runner. Look into those 6 and 10 pin connectors and make sure it will match up with your rig.
As far as fitment there is plenty of space in the dash behind the head unit of a 4Runner. The amp fits back there no problem and the sub fits underneath my driver seat. Sounds freaking awesome! It was a little bit too much power for the stock speakers so swap them out with some standard 5 and a quarter to 6 by 9 speakers and you have yourself a damn good sounding system in a 4Runner. Not the cheapest upgrade but I bought it bit by bit which made the price sting a little bit less LOL
