What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Got my wheels, 275/70R17 KO2s, and Bilstein 5100s (1.75") finally installed. Much better.

Looks great! any rubbing? What did you do for the rear or is it stock height?

Well, didn't do anything to it yet but I did pull the trigger on some goodies I've been eyeing. Ordered SCS Br6 17x8.5 Matte Bronze wheels (to go with the 285 wildpeaks I have waiting already in the shed), a 3" OME lift, and new JBA high caster UCAs. I feel just like a kid again, waiting on Christmas morning. Except Santa drives a FedEx truck now! :banana:

There was another thread a whole back about this. If I remember correctly some people were saying a four-finger wave minus the thumb (for 4runner ofc) would be the way to go. I dunno I dont think it's caught on.

I'll wave or honk or something if I pass a nice built 4r though.

We also have a Jeep JK. I don’t know about other cities but here in Fort Collins CO there are a crazy amount of Jeeps. I have joked around that I need to clamp a hand with two fingers up on the steering wheel, it just seems constant, other than new owners that have not caught on....yet

Is the driveway sloped, or does your 4Runner have a negative rake?

Curious if the 1.75 front Bilstein setting requires a .50 or .75 rear spacer to sit level and/or avoid a negative rake?

Swapped this guy out. Almost bought one from Rockauto with wrong pressure rating. Glad I did a bit more research and just bought it from the dealership. Amazing the damage that can result from getting the wrong radiator cap.

I would have him check the center of the hub to the top of the wheel arch to get a better idea. My Pro has 1.5/1”
spacers added to it for a front measurement of 22.5” and a rear measurement of 23.25”. 275’s. I would say that a 3/4” difference from front to rear gives a very leveled look.

This is 1.75" front stock rear. It has some pretty bad negative rake. If going 1.75" front you want .75" rear to sit level.

Yes. I tried duplicolor black sand metallic 1st and it looked ok but not a dead match. I have a friend that owns a body shop and he nailed the color. I also had the inside of the bezel by the head unit painted flat black. I think that adds a little extra touch and looks more stock.

Added a cheapo full length cargo liner for the pup and outdoor activities for when the seats are folded in!

It is made of 1/8" thick recycled auto tires and has some good weight to it.

It has a bit of a smell to it. Hopefully the smell goes away after a while.

Close up. I may trim it in the future to lay perfectly flat but I like the side coverage for now.

Enough length for the pup to get up on or load cargo without scratching the bumper.

Greased the driveshafts and changed the oil. Ever since I've changed the oil canister to the metal one, I've always had difficulty inserting and removing the plastic drain that's included with the new filters. Had to remove the canister by channel locks, disassemble, and then remove the plastic drain from the inside. Weird. Will probably just skip the first step and remove the entire canister next time.
