I put in a sleep platform so it is level with the seats down. Pretty easy to do for how high you need it to be just a 1/2" inch sheet on top of construction grade 2x4 laid flat.

Installed AMP electric steps

Installed AMP electric steps.
Got the passenger side working in one try.
Drivers side is not working and cannot find the right color wires to make it work. Didn't seem to be a binding issue as they fall easily without motor.

Any suggestions? That is what I did to my 4 runner today.

Replaced the halogen fogs with the TRD Pro LEDs. The cutoff and side throw is amazing with these. Now I have to figure out what to do about the headlights... probably H9 conversion with a whiter bulb.

FYI, fogs are a 10 minute job, passenger side remove 2 10mm bolts from bottom of rig under the fogs, push wheel well open for full access. Drivers side is wide open. No need to remove bumper

FYi, removing the bumper is 15 minutes off and 15 minutes back on and I didn't have to do the whole job lying on my back. Plus, it wasn't like I was in a race or anything. As for 10 minutes total to replace both of them as you describe, I call BS. At minimum, on the passenger side you would have to remove two screws under the bumper and the 3 at the front of the fender well for enough flex to remove the shield that covers the fog assembly. Unless you can move the bumper out that shield surrounding the fog is right up against the radiator support. It has to come off to get to the screws to remove and replace the assembly. Based on your sig, you and I have the same vehicle and you haven't replaced yours yet. Shoot a 10 minute video when you do. Thanks for your input though.

you nailed it. it's a pain doing on your back with the bumper in place. took me about 40 min to install rigids as replacements to the stock fogs. It was mostly just frustrating and annoying. next time the bumper is coming off lol

After nearly a month of ownership, changing damn near every fluid, lots of TLC, and doing tons and tons of upgrades.... I finally gave her a bath.

I was unsure about vinyl at first but it's super easy to care for. Like a ceramic wax without the gloss [emoji14] you can literally just wipe it with a towel and it looks great!

One shouldn't assume things. I've had (3) 4runners in the last 12 months. I've run the morimoto fogs, oem chrome, oem black and 2 weeks ago put in the Lexus oem fogs. Don't question what I know about fog light install. I read all the posts, watched countless videos. I've had the bumper off several times because of the shitty Morimoto XB headlights and also know exactly how long it takes to pull a bumper. I also know each time you pull the oem bumper your stand a chance to break the tabs close to the wheel wells. To hard to lay on the ground. Can't help you with that one but I put a moving blanket down and was quite comfortable. Put your lights in the way you see fit but please don't call bull shit without doing research.

And here's a pic, remove the 2 - 10mm bolts pictured flip the liner back and your 90% done. turn the 2 Phillips screws on the fogs and remove. Does not get any easier. The drivers side is wide open, nothing to remove except the fog

If you have a high-clearance cut, swapping fogs takes like 5 minutes :biggrin2:
