Daughter washed her WRX and made my Forester and 4Runner look bad so I had to wash them too. That Nautical Blue tho!

That looks great. I like a clean shiny 4R too, except these 5th gens have so much paint and soft plastic on the front that every pebble and hard shelled bug that hits it leaves a chip. I touch them up with Dr Colorchip, but maybe I’ll eventually spray the front with flat black paint or plastidip.

Moved tire carrier setting higher up, installed TN VOLS hitch cover, installed grill badge, and removed bug deflector.

Very clean 5th gen.. love the LFD rack and minimal tire carrier. The functionality here is awesome. A set of sliders and a hybrid/slim style front bumper with a winch would be icing on the cake.

I too washed mine today.
Drove it home from work. Now on (voluntary) furlough until May 3rd.
Thing is, our entire property is dirt. So it was clean(ish), sitting in a mud puddle.
I'll be offroading, probably tomorrow, so this won't last long.

Negative. The spacers seem to add to the rub issue, and I just saw another guy yesterday with broken studs on spacers so I avoid them $hits like COVID19.

Added my RCI rock sliders over a week ago. Super easy install. Was hoping to take my family on an offroad trip this spring break but that sh*t got cancelled. Thanks a lot Coronavirus...so hoping this summer things will be normalish for a trip to Wyoming, Utah, and Colorado. Next install will be a Harrop rear diff elocker. I'm probably one of the few foolish who continues to spend money during these times.

Agree, it's a love/hate option for everyone.
I'll run with the spacers till next dealer service in July, than decide to put back or not.

So the Squirrels came back and with me in Covid-19 isolation I didn't check the car like I should have. So this time the did some damage, can anyone tell me what the plug on the right is for and where I can get a replacement plug. I think they cu the wire too close for me to splice it.

I’m considering powder coating my rails. If I plan to haul a kayak and such on my roof, do you think your method would hold up to the abrasion?

You don't need a new connector. You just need what Toyota calls a "repair wire"...6 inches of wire with the terminal already attached. The wires/terminals can be removed from the black plastic "housing" and a new wire/terminal inserted in its place. Then you just strip & solder the repair wire to the remaining piece of wire in the harness. Done.

The plastic housing should have a 5-digit number stamped on it, really really small, usually on the back (top in your picture). It starts with a 1. Using that number, a Toyota dealer can get the correct repair wire for you.

I found some wheel skins on eBay to get the look until I find what I want. So easy! Looking forward to my next project, adding side steps and blackout emblems.
