What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Installed the expedition essentials dash panel. What a pita, I’m 99% sure the usb charge port doesn’t work. I’ve got power to the plug but not one device will charge with it.. either way. Looks great. Just waiting for my phone mount and iPad mount to come in. Super solid construction. I’m pretty impressed with it.

Chipped my ‘custom paint’ job on the bezel... too lazy to take all apart and repaint. Lol

Textured black steering wheel emblem overlay. I do not want chrome in the interior

Nice. I hate shiny chrome on the inside also. It’s one of the first things I did when I bought my 4R. I did it a different way, using an oval of Talon Grip material over the whole emblem. It matches the look and feel of the steering wheel very closely. Here’s a link with more details.

Completed the puddle lights LED conversion. Took me 5mins on each side and it looks so much cleaner and brighter now!

Thank you. I really like it but $40? A bit pricey for what it is. I'll think about it but will probably stick with the blue decal I have now. It doesn't get rid of all the chrome but it's better.

I would suggest Plasti-dip. I did the same thing on my Xterra a few years back and it held up fine for years, and much cheaper! I might have a picture of it somewhere...
You could either tape around it with painters tape or cut a circle out in some cardboard and use that to catch the overspray.

I thought about that but it would be almost impossible to rough up the chrome for either paint of Plasti-dip to bond without messing up the surrounding area. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Plasti-dip “bonds” to chrome without being sanded. It’s designed to be sprayed over chrome as-is. And the beauty of plasti dip is you peel off the “mess” from the surrounding area.

If my wife lets me I’ll do it to ours, but I doubt it. Not for a couple years at least, lol.

I have been doing a lot of digging online an have not been able to get a clear answer. Will 245/60/20 fit a 20x9 -12 Some say yes and some say no. If anyone knows and answer would be greatly appreciated.

Made a 6 hour round trip into the pandemic capital of my province. I made sure to keep a solid 6 feet away from people, used lots of hand sanitizer, and was out of my car for a total of 18 minutes while I checked out and loaded the rims.

Going to ditch the weird-ass tires (265/60/18) these come with and hopefully get a couple hundred for them as they have 60% left. Going out to the shop today to buy 285/65/18 duratracs.

Are you asking simply if the tire will fit onto the wheel? Or are you asking if that wheel size/offset/tire size will fit on a 5th gen 4runner? Recommended wheel width for that size tire is 7-8.5"
