What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Getting to work on my cargo deck. Main deck cut came out perfect from Home Depot (Measure 10 times cut once. 3/4” birch is not cheap.) Just needs a pubic hair worth of trimming on the bottom edge towards the hatch so it’s not pushing the plastics (It narrows by a few mm).

Just gotta shape the second half, make it all level, secure, bedline, add tie downs, and party.

Yes I know my bumper looks disgusting. Lost a cup holder when I got a 33” spare (behold my cutting skills). Bumpers been ripped off and battered a few times. Needs replacement anyway. Just waiting to figure out what my plan is for steel. If anyone has an sr5 bumper (any color scratches and gouges okay) I would love to get rid of my chewed up valanceless trd.

Told the Mrs and the 3.5yr old daughter we were going for a ride and would get "to go" lunch somewhere.

What they didn't realize is that we were going to run some sections of the TN Dirt Devil.

Had a blast and did about 45 miles of it, lots of chert roads, a few good water crossings, and some nice hill climbs.

Near my old stomping grounds so we stopped at a good waterfall for some fun. Been years since I've been here.

Perspective is off in photo it's a good 8-10' fall.

As much of this as you want to drive on.

Got back from getting groceries and noticed my truck's got a gangster lean...... looking into the KDSS calibration now.....

Did the deed and drilled through the floor pan. Although I measured off the identical floor pan dimples the carriage bolts are offset by about a quarter inch. Whoopsie doodles. Prob should have gone off the frame. Oh well just as functional. Using the foam for sound deadening. Already cut some squares out to fit some wood bracing so I don’t bend the crap out of the floor pan when I sinch down the carriage bolts. Need to get a table saw to cut a 2x4 to depth. Good of an excuse as any to get one. New (old ‘54) home owner and it will come in handy as I want to gut it a start over at some point.

Next part I need some help from y’all. As I’m pretty much stealing goo$egear’$ design I will be strapping the 2ed row portion of my platform down utilizing the 2nd row seat bolt holes. They are a rest of the world thread pitch and I can’t seem to source an eye bolt with a proper thread pitch. Anyone know of one state side that stocks a m10x1.25 eyebolt (typically used for a racing harness)? Worst comes to worse I’ll order from Japan or just get a welder and make an eye bolt. Miss my Hobart

Edit:Goose gear uses tie downs not eye bolts so I’ll prob pick something like that up.

Offset spring, spacer, or live with it. Leveling the kdss using the wheel block and valves is temporary from what I gather.

I got some of the gangsta lean myself. I found when I lowered my suspension a bit to a 2.5-1” it helped. The higher you go from stock the more your fighting the system. I know someone on here was working on a kdss swaybar link spacer but I don’t remember the thread offhand. That might be a solution as well.

Personally my trucks getting too chewed up off-road to care anymore. I just ignore it.

Yes the bar in the grill and 2 parts under the headlights. I did not want to cut stock bumper.

I saw some M10 x 35mm eye bolts on Amazon. You could cut them down to 31 or 32mm if they have to be closer to 1.25in.

1.25 refers to thread pitch (distance from thread to thread), in millimeters

Shank length I didn’t list because it can be cut.

Typically they would list shank length in MM for metic bolts.

All good tho going to go with tie downs instead. Don’t feel like waiting a month for uber specific eyebolts from Japan.

I just purchased my first 4Runner Saturday! It's not new but it's new to me. It came with snow tires so I just received a custom wheel and tire package from TireRack and can't wait to put them on this weekend.

So I went from the original chrome to this blue decal which was better but not exactly what I wanted. I ordered the AJT in cement thinking it was darker than what it was and would be a little different from just black. I do not like the cement so I gave it a few coats with semi-gloss black. I like it now.
