I just got back from spending this past week in Ouray, CO. I don't think I'll ever get tired of those trails, and the scenic views!

I installed the ARB diff breather kit today. My long term plan is to install the Shrockworks dual battery kit and the Bandi compressor bracket over the smog pump relocate so I put the breather manifold as close as possible to the air intake. I've been installing anything that requires drilling into the truck using rivnuts instead of self-tapping screws but I kinda butchered the rivnuts installation this time, it was hard to reach the area to drill and install them. I'm praying I left enough slack in the hose for the axle to droop but 99% of my driving is on-road so my chances of maxing the suspension travel are very low.

The lights are very bright. The DRL’s are very cool.
Quality is very good. I chose these over the Morimotos. Decided on these due to negative posts about the Morimotos.

just got back from two weeks in CO / Moab

check out the flex on my new 5100s
this was right after crossing the actual pass. I came across a section of road that was snow-covered and looked very sketchy. i was mulling over whether or not i wanted to attempt it, when some monster 4th gens came up behind me, and a rube in a ruby came up from the other side. the 4th gen guys convinced the ruby to attempt to cross the snow, with the understanding they would winch him out if he got stuck. he immediately got stuck/started sliding down the mountain, so they stacked winches on winches to pull him across. ultimately the 4th gens (and a taco with 35+s, and an FJ using a winch) got through, but one guy had to bail and just go straight down the mountain. i ultimately turned around and got to see the pass for a 2nd time!
the photo makes it look not that tough, but the snow was slick af, and you could not make ruts in it, so it was very tippy, and the rocks to the right were very loose. glad i turned around!

I also did Ophir on the way to Telluride but didn't get any photos.
Mosquito was by far the rockiest. very slow and extremely bumpy, and as i mentioned, i didn't even get to finish it. engineer, cinnamon, and ophir were very fun and easy, no spotting required. gorgeous part of the world.

Drove the Trans Wisconsin Adventure Trail this past weekend to beat the COVID blues. This is mostly backroads, logging roads, and forest roads stretched from the Illinois/Wisconsin border to Lake Superior.

Finally got to test on all the mods together. Pretty happy with my “build”. Had no issues come up.
I keep thinking about getting steel and a winch. Suppose I need to start thinking about coil choices and what have you. For now I save money and enjoy the truck as is.

If they're anything like the Tacoma version, they'll be decent as near-field flood lights. Maybe not so great as headlights.

Lift kit and 285s are on. Westcott Designs Fox TRD Pro Front Lift kit and Camburg 1.25 Uniball UCAs up front. Dobinsons C59-599 Coil Springs in their red finish for the rear. Tires are 285/70/17 Falken Wildpeak A/T3W C-load range. Super happy with the set-up and it still rides very nice, albeit a touch firmer than stock. Parts and install all done through my buddy Monroe over at Michael's Toyota in Bellevue. For anyone in the greater Seattle-area, I highly recommend him for anything aftermarket.

Definitely one of the cleanest looking racks IMO. I love it! The shop is local to me and I've met the guys that own uptop and they're some super cool dudes. You'll love it. Can't wait to accessorize mine some more haha

How do the upper DRL's look in bright sunlight? Saw a guy with these at a local meetup this past weekend and honestly couldn't even tell they were on..

Thats David Crosby. Sweet 4th gen build. Definitely makes me miss mine.
awesome, thanks for the heads up. i found him on ig and pm'd him some videos i took from that spot that are pretty great.
