What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Sure thing...Happy to answer...

Rear springs are the B12 1.5 - 2" springs.
I went with "max" lift on the front at 2.5" by using the recommended circlip positions of #7 and #5 for driver and passenger sides respectively.

According to my measurements, I have about 1" of rake (wish it sat level so prob going to add a half in spacer in there) I suggest using my exact settings to get what you want.

Tires are 285/70/17 and wheel offset is -12mm. Yes, I get a little rubbing on the body mounts... so body mount chop here I come.

I should also mention that I went with Icon tubular UCA's for completeness which also may affect the rubbing.

Hope this helps!

GREAT info, thank you so much!

added ram air

hey 4runner buddies

i added a homemade Ram Air system to my 3013 4runner.

i bought some dryer hose and connection ending.

i removed mCCCy fog light and ran the hose from the air box down to the passenger fog light

it sticks out about 2 inches from the fog light opening and i got some stickers from pep boys.

on the edge of the ram air opening, it says RAM AIR.

believe me when i tell you, it's sweet.

easy way to pick up a few ponies.

anyone in far southern CA feel free to come over to my pad to feel the difference

Raptor lined my front and rear bumper trim, rockers, fender flares, mud flaps, and badges. Front and rear bumper, rear garnish, and roof rack will be sprayed in a few days!

Any concern with water crossings? lol

Trying to rid my 4R of as much chrome as possible. Already did steering wheel emblem. Today I added the black start/stop ring from MESO. Also have the Alpharex Luxx headlights coming Friday.
Door handles will be next hopefully.

Installed (finally) my UpTop Overland 5g Bravo Roof Rack. Install was smooth, directions off their site were great. Rack looks amazing in person, complements from everyone i've shown. Impressed with the build quality and accessories. BIG PLUS, due to the design of the front fairing.. no noise at 60mph, at 80mph I only slightly noticed noise off the rack. I'm very impressed.

Swapped out the front coils from Dobinsons 314’s to the 302’s after discussions with Dobinsons and my lack of added front weight. I had close to 4” of lift on my IMS setup and now I’m around 2.75”-3” which is right where I want to be.

I also installed some sway bar relocation brackets as my bar looked like it was contacting the lower spring perch.

Got the roof rack prepped for removal this weekend and got some 3/4” plywood to start making my rear slide out platform a bit more usable.

Threw on the TRD hood with the blacked out hood scoop yesterday only to realize that Toyota's paint code 040 has several different shades of white.

Apparently, the hood is painted 040 Super White whereas my 4runner is painted 040 Super White II.

Unfortunately, I gave the paint guy a loose hood and a code thinking there's only 1 white 040. So, that was my fault and I can't blame the paint guy for not getting it right.

The biggest kick in the balls is that I already put PPF on the entire hood. So, I'm going to try and determine how much the color mismatch bugs me over the winter. I'm pretty sure I'll be repainting come next summer cause I can't stop staring at it and cringing now.

Most noticeable in the last pic. Not as noticeable in sunlight.

Ugggh that’s a bummer man :/ if it bugs you that much just get some decent vinyl and wrap the hood black or something for the time being? If you put on PPF I assume you could probably my wrap the hood too. Then when you can repaint it just remove the vinyl

I considered that, but I don't think you can put vinyl on top of PPF. And if that is possible and I put vinyl on top of the existing PPF, I need to put PPF on top of the vinyl to protect the vinyl since vinyl chips *super* easy (rock chips, etc). So, the vinyl + PPF route will cost about $600-$700 ($220 for PPF, $100 for vinyl, pay a guy $300 for install).

For that cost, I might as well not burn money on temporary solutions and jump into a repaint.

But appreciate the suggestion! Hopefully I can find a bit of a hail storm soon lol I'll just take my hood off and toss it in the storm lol

I installed my C4 bumper and am patiently awaiting for my kings to arrive :hungry:

Maybe original paint is slightly stained? if you have a DA, I would run a couple passes first, might be able to get it a closer match
