Hi-Lift jacks do not get much love. Most of the issues caused from dropping are due to sticking pins. Especially if the jacks are mounted to the exterior all of the time. Even keeping the pins well greased dirt finds its way inside. I always keep a can of penetrating fluid on hand. Before using the jack, rachet it up and down to see if the pins stick. If the pins stick, spray the crap out of them. Also make sure the tires are well chocked in case the vehicle were to shift.

This is why no matter how capable my vehicle is I don't go out and drive in the snow unless I have absolutely no choice. Did I mention I hate snow? LOL!

I like the color of your skids. Does the oem plastic shield between the front bumper and the skid work with LFD, or do you need to have some sort of custom filler plate similar to what RCI offers? I like how LFD is much wider than RCI and covers the KDSS cylinder. I wish they had two additional attachment points in the middle of the skid similar to RCI.
Installed a new front bumper yesterday

Right now, I do not have the plastic skid tucked inside the LFD skid. However, that was due to me not even trying. I think it will fit and will be attempting to this weekend.
No need for those additional attachment points. The skid is freaking on there and is not going anywhere!

Thank you for the picture!!! I was looking for that all over the forum. And LFD's site doesn't have good ones to show whether it fits.
Agree the skid isn't going anywhere and four points is sufficient to hold it in place. I was just thinking the two more in the middle might add to the overall rigidity.

Treated myself during their BF sale but finally got my Adventure Tool Company tool roll, storage bag, and recovery bag. Definitely high quality, US made, and nice personal touches. Some turbo turdburglar decided to get into my 4Runner last night and steal what money they could find. I guess they were ticked off badly enough that I only had maybe a couple bucks worth of change in my truck that they also decided to steal my registration and insurance information. I didn't see anything else that was missing.
I'm in the habit of checking to see if I locked my vehicle, but maybe I forgot to do it last night and was the victim of bad luck. Nothing was broken. I just noticed things weren't as I left them yesterday when I sat down in it this morning. It wouldn't have bothered me so much if they only stole the money. I get it. Things are hard right now. I've been up to Wall Street and gave a homeless guy on the street a few bucks. I've got a 2020 4Runner in the current day and age, and I'm not over my head financially with it. I'm okay with someone needing the change in my truck more than I need it, but they also took the registration and insurance information, and for what? Just to spite me? They didn't even bother taking anything else.

Drove from Boston to South Fla - stop in North Carolina to see my brother, and then 3 tanks of gas later - pulled into the garage at the house!(1624miles in 2 days) The plan is to head back in mid April. I think I will break the trip up next time.......3 days?

After careful consideration have been keeping my registration and insurance paperwork in my wallet for quite a few years for all my vehicles, boats, trailers, motorcycles and cars just because identity theft has been really catching on.
If someone breaks into your car, sorry nothing there for ya.
Also have been pulled over a couple of times and can tell the troopers really like it when you don't have to reach into your glove box for registration insurance and id.

If your not in such a hurry next time, shoot over to I-81 in Pennsylvania take it down to North Carolina and take a detour on the Blue Ridge Mountain Pkwy, beautiful drive, can't wait to get back there myself. Nice ride through the mountains in Virginia also.
