What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Trying to figure out the immobilizer. Someone tried to break into it early this morning by breaking the driver side door handle. They weren't able to start the 4runner and the 4R's (guessing) immobilizer prevented the theft from happening. The result from what I can see is a broken door handle and my fobs not working at all. Going to have to take it to Toyota to see what is going on.

turns out the Fins n Things and Hell's Revenge trailheads are about 5 mins from my house.

Over the last week, I got the Victory 4x4 rear bumper installed with tire mount, hi lift Jack mount, and ladder attachment accessories. I replaced the 3/4 steel roof rack from LFD with an aluminum Victory 4X4 standard rack with their side accessory panel. Also installed the sPod BantamX with touch screen and powertray.

Yes. I drive at night in rural areas a lot during the summer, and I've had some big damn bugs smash their faces into my radiator ("fly toward the light...it'll be awesome [splat]").

Any scraping on your bumpers?
This is more of a question. I’m a new T4R owner, a 2021 SR5. Looking to find little places to store things (having previously owning a Ford F159). Has anyone flipped their spare tire over to store a couple of small waterproof containers? Thanks

I have flipped my spare over so the valve is easy to reach but that's a pretty good idea to store stuff you don't need often up there.

That’s a new idea. As long as the containers are tightly sealed. It does get very dusty under there if you ever drive on dirt. Another idea would be to secure the container tightly to the wheel with a bungee cord so it doesn’t rattle.
One mod you can also do is free up the trays on top of the wheel wells in the cargo area. There’s a small space underneath each, with more room on the driver’s side. Search the forum, there’s a few threads on this.

Tested my block heater today to see how quickly my 4Runner warms up in extreme cold. - 32C with a windchill of roughly -40C.
Here are my findings. I kept the fan off until I was ready to drive just to maximize the temp in the coolant. I turned the fan on before I drove away at the 10 minute mark and was starting to get slightly warm air. Coolant temp maxed out at 79C after roughly 5 minutes of driving.

The outside air was -32C and overnight the block heater got the coolant only up to -30C when you started it? Am I looking at this correctly?
