You are reading it correctly but with a twist.
While the initial coolant reading before starting the car was -30C, nothing was circulating. In temps like these I'd have to guess that the areas of the block further away from the block heater are being cooled as fast as the block heater is heating.
If you look at the 1 minute mark you can see how quickly the coolant went up to almost 0C as the warmest coolant began to circulate. Almost a 30degree improvement in 1 minute.
I'm not sure where the sensor takes a reading of the coolant temp, but I'd guess that it isn't near where the block heater is located.

on top of the ladder, and then down the hatch near the rubber seal and then into the rear hatch near the bottom bumper. the CB cable from firestik is really long.
I don't suggest you doing it this way. i had to replace the cable already once cuz it got sliced to pieces by the area where the hatch and ladder kind of meet near the top.
Luckily, I run a GMRS/FRS radio now from midlands and its so much better than CB that i never bothered to test the CB once i reinstalled everything.
The midlands mtx radio i just run it through the front engine bay firewall, up to the roof and have the antenna mounted to my roof rack like everyone else. It is clear on both TX and RX. It's night and day difference when compared to CB.

gotta love thieves.. smash and grab some stupid jumper cables and my jump box. The only day i forgot i left it in the backseat. *******, climbed in and then climbed out of the window (belt and clothing marks on bottom of the window frame). I hope he cut himself and dies by a million paper cuts.
great way to spend the day cleaning glass, and dealing with insurance.
second time someone broke in within 30 days. The first time, i found some dood stealing my license plates at 1am while i was walking my dog. .told him to wait there while i go get my gun so i can shoot him in his face. So of course, he jumped in his car and took off..... I didn't realize he stole my plates until after he took off. less than 2 weeks later, someone breaks my window....
and thats why people can't have nice things in kaliforniastan.

For the wheel wells, do you meat cutting the plastic open or?

Those trays on top of the wheel wells are held down by two screws on the interior side (see arrows) and three clip-tabs on the body side. See pics.
There are two methods to make those trays removable. The first is brute force to break the plastic screw tabs on the tray. The other method is to carefully pry up the tab (exterior) side, slip your hand in there with a Philips #2 screwdriver, and cleanly unscrew those two screws. Some people use a flexible shafted screwdriver, I used a stubby straight shafted one.
It’s kind of a tight fit, I wore thin nitrile gloves to prevent too much scraping on my wrists. It may help to do this when the plastic is warm so it flexes a little easier.
It’s not a lot of room, but you can slide small or flexible items a good ways in there. I just did this to the driver side. The passenger side has less room due to the inverter being under there. I also tied a loop of paracord on a tray screw hole to be a pull tab for easy removal.

Oh man, that sucks. So sorry.
I had a smash n grab happen on my 1st Gen while out on a backpack trip. That little wing window was an easy break for quick entry. The fukker took all my tools, my buddy’s shoes, a lady friend’s purse. All were well hidden and out of sight. We felt so violated.

Living in SF I have this fear constantly. Recently been trying out this:
Advanced Real-Time Car Tracking & Alert System - CarLock
GPS tracking... but the most interesting bit for me is the vibration alert pushed to my phone with an alarm (that by passes Do Not Disturb if you want).
I've used it for a month... I most likely would not have alerted you to the license plate thieves but it for sure would have let you know on the broken window.
It's sits in the OBD port, which I didn't want so you can buy an adapter (here) which you can attach direct to your battery and hide the unit in the engine bay, which is what I did, I actually mounted it near the horns behind the grille.
it is around $10 a month for the service...
for me the vibration detection is worth it.

I've been kicking this around for a while now. Can you send a picture from the side and a picture kinda looking into the wheel well? Curious how much of the "guts" are exposed. My concern is that without the actual high clearance kit, too much in there is exposed.

thanks I got an MXT-275 with a 3db ghost antenna and since I have the ladder too that looked like a good option. I might go with the firewall too.

Locking the rear diff in a TRD Off-Road
I test drove a 2017 TRD Off-Road the other day and tested out the 4x4 system to see if everything worked. It seemed to - though when I put the truck in 4L to engage the rear locker, I'm not sure if it worked. The symbol for it came up in red and was blinking. I assumed it was working, but was blinking red so that you wouldn't forget to disengage it and mess something up.

solid red means its engaged
blinking red means it isn't engaged yet.
basically, when u turn the lockers on...you have to kind of travel a foot or two forward or backwards for it to engage then the light turns solid, and the lockers are engaged.
So during your test drive, the locker was not engaged...yet
