What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

After trying almost everything in the book to find a decent phone holder, finally decided to just drill the dash for a permanent install. I had some success with the ProClip as seen in my other thread, but there were two issues: the air vent was blocked and even after a day the ProClip started leaning slightly in the direction of the nano arm. I don't know why I waited this long to drill (fingers crossed).

The MagMount G3 is no joke. It does not budge. I can plug in and disconnect my lightning cable with one hand - pushing or pulling does nothing to the phone.

Does this charge too ???

Replaced the bright blue LEDs in one of my custom buttons (Nav wire hack mod button) with Toyota OEM 4Runner "ice blue" LEDs which were harvested from some used buttons that I bought on eBay. Now that button matches the rest of the dashboard.

What does that button even do? On my 2020 I have a headunit "Map" button... but? Do you have button that somehow triggers interaction in the headunit?

Did the new rear bumper already have the holes cut for the black valance? I have a TRD Venture and want the black valance but hesitant to cut up a brand new bumper.

The nav wire hack mod involves cutting a wire (gray IIRC) to make the head unit think the truck is not moving, so that the advanced bluetooth and other settings screens will work while driving (so my passenger can mess with it). The downside to cutting the wire is that the built-in navigation system in the head unit won't work any more, because it thinks you're never moving down the road. I never use the built-in navigation system (instead I use Google Maps on my phone), so it's no loss for me, but I wanted an easy way to undo the mod if I needed it. The GPS Navigation button, when pressed in, just reconnects that cut gray wire.

I have the same and had to cut mine. You can order a new bumper with the cutouts but then you'll have to have it sprayed.

It is the Detours of Maine and yes, from what I've seen this is the closest one to the hatch without getting a rear bumper.

I love AJT stuff but the Volume and Channel knobs are pure trash...
mine pull right off, there is nothing keeping them on, maybe it's just mine but I had them on for 3 mins and went back to stock.

I’ve had good luck with mine with no loose feel. Been on a month or so. But I have heard people talk about this issue, so not sure if it was a batch or what.

Pretty easy to pull bumper cover off & the holes are marked on inside so you can clearly see where you dremel or whatever tool of choice is ! And most won't sell & ship new black bumper covers .One of the Texas boys had a good thread going on it that I used !

I tried to install the Raptor lights I bought from 4Runner Lifestyle. The problem is the fuse box does not close down because the fuse is so bulky. Is there a solution to this that yall know about?

De-installing the raptor lights will fix this.

I've seen people use low-profile add-a-fuses to get around this in Tacomas.

It's my dive compass, a Suunto SK-8. The mount it is on is the plate for mounting the compass on a Gear Keeper reel. I just removed it from the reel, put a steel plate on it, and popped it onto the Scosche Magic Mount.

When I had my first set, I had the same issue. When I purchased new ones for my TRD grill, I used a fuse spot in the engine bay fuse box. I routed the line into the box and was able to reinstall the cover.
