What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

I went to my Toyota dealer and finalized a new deal.
I’m turning my 2020 ORP into a 2021 ORP.
They had been contacting me for my trade in because they short on pre owned T4R. After actually talking to her about it I finally decided what the heck! My interest rate goes way lower, my monthly payment goes a little lower. The Super White ORP I’ll take has TRD wheels, running boards & KDSS, all those my ‘20 don’t have and I want, hope I like the KDSS. My ‘20 I had done window tint, remote start & the black badge overlays to it, I’ll want to do at least all that again for the ‘21.
Another reason is I commute 100 miles a day, the ‘20 already has 31,000 on it lol. Thought I buy back some mileage too.
And the LED headlights/taillights, another plus.

Sounds like a great trade!

Oh for 2021 now the front heads are no longer halogen but are LED. The tails I believe I am assuming they went to LED. The fogs I think maybe they still not LED.

Yes I knew about the headlights (LED low beam and halogen high beam, and bi-LED for Pro/Limited). The taillights have been partial LED since 2014 (running/brake lights are LED, just dim and bright to alternate). The turn signal and reverse bulbs are halogen. I'm curious to see if the entire twilight is LED now.

Removed my RSG sliders this morning because rust

I did my own coating with Rustoleum Primer and then Bed Liner. Multiple spots on the sliders have worn through the coating and started to rust. Maybe that's what I get for not having professional powdercoat. Ugh.

Is this from abrasion? If so there's nothing you can do to stop that and even a factory powdercoat would rubbed through. Just scuff sand to remove the rust, alcohol wipe it, and touch it up yourself.

Installed the OEM TRD grill. Plasti dip on the front and rear valances. Amazon glove box and consul dividers. Pulled the tube steps off.

More goodies on order. Trying to find a damn lift kit in stock that isn’t going to take 3 months to ship.

Quick Inyo/Alabama Hills trip. Only my second time visiting, but probably never going back to Alabama Hills - horribly overcrowded. Drove a few miles outside the park and took some trails requiring 4WD/high clearance and it was so much better.

That's been the problem lately, unfortunately. 4 years ago took a trip with a small group of oddball trucks and we had the entire Coyote Flats area to ourselves on a weekend. Went this summer and everybody and their mother was up there, playing dress-up with late model Toyotas. Ah well, what are ya gonna do.

Went to go order the finishing touches for my lift to find out King is out 30 weeks! :wow2:

Now to decide if I want to stick with King front (which I already have installed) and rear and wait 30 weeks or mix and match to have it completed sooner?

Correct, the spots are the areas I typically step on either to get in/out of the vehicle or use to get to my roof rack. I was planning on doing just what you describe when it gets a bit warmer here. I was also looking in to removing all the Rustoleum liner I sprayed on and adding a coat of Rustoleum Rust Reformer Spray and then coating with the bedliner spray. Is this a viable option?

Already too late but instead of the pro wheels with spider trax, you might have opted instead for f(x) Pro wheels from FN. Proper offset without adding extra weight and failure points of the spacers. An inch wider and still only 24 lbs... Much lighter and cheaper than the factory wheels plus spacers.

I just bought a midnight black ORP and have matte black vinyl for the front. Please tell me the front valance still comes off.
