I don't know as I have a 2019 SR5 so that area is body color which I love. I would imagine that they are removable though I doubt they would change that.

Potentially a dumb question, but here goes. I've doing some wiring for my rear battery/drawer system and as I was running wires from some extra usb sockets I'm adding to the fuse panel, I realized I probably should have just wired them together since they are pretty low draws.

I've seen people wire additional usb sockets in series (so like one connects to another, which then connects to the fuse block). Is there any fundamental difference between going that route VS wiring the two USB ports separately but running both sets of wires to the same terminal on the fuse block? Trying to save an extra slot on my fuse block!

Already too late but instead of the pro wheels with spider trax, you might have opted instead for f(x) Pro wheels from FN. Proper offset without adding extra weight and failure points of the spacers. An inch wider and still only 24 lbs... Much lighter and cheaper than the factory wheels plus spacers.

They don't require a spacer. People add spacers for a more "aggressive" look. In most cases, spacers actually reduce your clearance and cause rubbing, because of increased scrub radius. I've never seen spacers added for a functional reason on a 5th gen.

Correct, the spots are the areas I typically step on either to get in/out of the vehicle or use to get to my roof rack. I was planning on doing just what you describe when it gets a bit warmer here. I was also looking in to removing all the Rustoleum liner I sprayed on and adding a coat of Rustoleum Rust Reformer Spray and then coating with the bedliner spray. Is this a viable option?

You could remove it all/try again, but I'd be hesitant to use bedliner because of how difficult it would be to touch up. Why not normal black paint and an anti-slip tape like skateboard deck?

That's not technically wiring "in series". Wiring "in series" means that the output (ground) leg of the first device (USB port) is wired to the input (hot) leg of the second device.

I think what you're talking about is running 1 hot wire from the fuse block to the 1st USB port's input/hot leg, then daisy-chaining a wire from the 1st USB port's input/hot leg to the 2nd USB port's input/hot leg. (Technically this is wiring "in parallel".) That's perfectly fine, as long as the 1st wire (from the fuse block) is large enough gauge to handle full draw from both USB ports.

And, you don't need to run a ground wire all the way from the fuse block area to the back of the truck. Both USB ports can be grounded to a nearby metal bolt that threads into the body of the truck (with paint removed).

Quick Inyo/Alabama Hills trip. Only my second time visiting, but probably never going back to Alabama Hills - horribly overcrowded. Drove a few miles outside the park and took some trails requiring 4WD/high clearance and it was so much better.

Did a simple mod today. Put a couple of Quick Fists on the rear hatch cover to hold my snow brush. It's curved, so sits there nicely, and now won't slide around.

So, I recently got my Dobinsons kit installed with a few other goodies. Got a chance to get out and run a couple of fire roads and do some light wheeling today. All I can say is wow! I was also impressed with the on road manners, offroad it's a different beast entirely.

Had to do only a minor bit of modification in the front (moved the inner liner forward and trimmed a small piece off of the bumper) to not rub. Wheels are FN f(x) Pros with 0 offset, tires are C load Nitto Ridge Grappler in 285/70. Shop for me 4.5* caster on both fronts.

As an added bonus, I got notification today that my order from the RCI GB shipped today!

Placed my order to complete my lift.

Because Kings are now 30 weeks out I ordered the Toytec Aluma shocks to hold me over until my Kings are delivered. Once I get those, I will sell the Toytec Aluma Shocks and swap in the Kings 2.5 with Adjusters.

Also going to be running the Toytec Superflex Coils with Airbags for when I have a heavy load. And then running the SPC UCAs.

Stoked to finally get my lift completed after running the King Coilovers upfront only for over a year now.

Picked up my TE wheels after being stripped and powder coated. I went with 20% gloss level, very pleased with the quality of work. Now on to modifying the TRD center caps to fit.

Trail Edition wheels, came on the 10-13 Trail editions. Normally silver from the factory. I think they were also an option for the FJ.
