What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

I really needed that public brow beating..I came from an FX35 before my TRDPRO abs I have a buddy who is a staunch bimmer dude. I miss the speed but yea, this is a way better truck. And I did some mods so yea, I’m a nitwit, but a nitwit who was clever enough to realize his error in time.

So, if I could only get this thing to go a bit faster, I got the sound system, the lights, the general look buttoned down. And low miles (21k).

So, supercharging is in order. Unless of course I’m being a jackass about that too.

Open to advice (and ridicule) be gentle

Don’t expect BMW speed from supercharging your 4Runner. It will definitely make a difference but it’s still a 4800lb pig. Big difference on the highway. It holds 5th gear on steep grades and has no problem passing. It will put a smile on your face but don’t expect a rocket. [emoji38]

Bought a 6'W x 12'L x 6'6"H (internal dimensions) trailer (4K GVWR) and started moving hundreds of miles across state boundaries to a new residence - still way cheaper than the full service moving company quotes I got.

The 4Runner pulls it just fine over the hilly terrain, but my long term MPG has dropped into the mid 15 MPGs.

Lots of preventative maintenance coming due in my short term future that's for sure.

Decided I'm driving it until I retire. Started minor mods...

Last week installed the ARB awning and sleeper/storage.

Today ordered TRD black wheels, installed led grill lights, scheduled roof rack and exhaust tip powder coating, and cleaned it after sleeping in it 3 nights this weekend.

I think TRD cold air intake next.

Spent last week in Moab. My first trip there. We did Onion Creek, Gemini bridges, shafer trail, Top of the World, and Hell’s Revenge (including Hell’s gate).

Got my fuel pump replaced today. Was given RAV4 Ltd. as a loaner. Sure was glad to get my 4rnr back. I don’t like driving a RAV4 with all of its constant upshifting and downshifting.

I understand. That is why my wife has a 535 (110,000 miles) and my commuter car is a 325 (163,000 miles). I don't want that mileage on my 4Runner. Plus I get to satisfy my need for speed.
