What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Just got in from offshore and decided to jump right on installing Xenon Depot HID low beams, Xtreme LED Pro high beams with DRL drivers, and Xtreme CMB fogs. Tucked the majority of the drivers and wiring into the covers on the fenders just under the hood. Already, in the bright South Louisiana sunlight, you can tell they're much brighter than stock. HIDs were at full brightness in a couple of seconds, changing from a light blue to pure white.

I'd been putting this upgrade off for quite a while, but after the recent trip to AL and driving up the side of their highest peak, in a winding road in the rain, it was apparent that it was past time. The HIDs in my old F150 FX4 were some of the best lighting for back roads I'd had in a truck, so it the only way for me (didn't even consider LED lows).

Now, I guess we wait until dark to see how much of a difference they are on some of these back roads.

What kind of deal did you find on the Wildpeaks? I’m looking around for a deal on a spare right now.

I found these on FB marketplace with 3,000 miles on them. Guy had them on his Taco but upgraded to MT tires. Paid $600

Just got my truck back from the dealer with the fuel pump recall completed! Took two days but it got done.

[emoji2959] scratched and dented - from basic simple outdoor use. Loading kayak slipped and the plastic scratched the crap out of the pain.

Then I had to kneel on the roof at the windshield to connect the strap (like I’ve done a thousand tones in my Chevy and it wrinkled the heck out of the metal! Furious

Can it be fixed!?!?

An auto body shop ought to be able to drop the headliner and get those dents out.

Picked it up from the dealer, who was polishing the car (as they drove it through a car wash brand new...), and go figure.. their "head detail guy" left the paint in worse condition than what he received.

I'm fuming. She has 1300 miles on her.

Drink one for me, boys, this is going to be an uphill battle for me.

I mandated that our dealership not touch the truck outside of peeling off the plastic. I can’t imagine a “detail” guy getting a hold of it.

Picked it up from the dealer, who was polishing the car (as they drove it through a car wash brand new...), and go figure.. their "head detail guy" left the paint in worse condition than what he received.

My 2018 Pro was purchased new off the showroom floor with 4 miles. Unfortunately, they detailed "washed" the vehicle before and there were a myriad of swirl marks all over the car. I took it to my local detailer and he said, that he could not polish it out as the newer paints and clear are soft.
I was so irritated that I took it over to a Ceramic Pro dealer to see if they could fix it. They said it would be $1300 for the 5 year package and they would do a complete polish with paint correction. I was able to get $500 back from the Toyota dealership, which softened the blow. It came out fantastic.
Demand a payment from the dealer if it won't polish out with a regular detail. Good luck.

Oh, I will. I used to work with BOTH sales managers back in 2007 at a different Toyota dealer.

I may even propose they hold the next Lunar Rock Pro they get to swap. We'll see. But yeah, I'm pissed AF right now! hahaha

I got a little creative since i wanted flexibility so i hardwired 2 relays and harness. One for the front and one for the rear on the spoiler through the headliner and through the back hatch. Standard stuff.

The S1 lights i mounted to a magnetic mount I got on Amazon. I did this so i can use them for the front or rear, or change placement easaly.

When i lift the hatch, they just clear the roof rack.

When i brought the wiring through the headliner i did some minor cutting under the weather strip to accommodate the wire then mounted the connector for easy removal plus a few quick release clips so the wiring always aligns to the proper spot on the roof/spoiler but i can also remove easily and run them up front.
