Was due for an oil change and decided to change the plugs as well. Taped the plug socket to the extension, then proceeded to pull the extension off the socket while installing the new plug on the rear driver cylinder. Grabbed my torch, heated up the extension to push through the plumbers tape blocking the socket female end. 3 tries and I re-stuck the extension and pulled the socket out. Wouldn't be 4runner maintenance without me having an issue lol.

Installed some early father's day gifts from my son. The organizer is really good, makes the glove box much neater. The seat covers aren't a perfect fit but good enough and the main reason is that I must rub my fat ass on the bolster when getting in as there is already wear on it. I'm hoping these protect it. Bigger concern is the rip in the weather stripping. Any ideas on a glue or something to fix that with. I'm being careful not to rub it any more.

Try using black E6000 adhesive. You might want to first back it by inserting some soft foam into the weather strip tube. Or a small piece of nylon tubing.

Changed my air filter and cabin air filter. Things I learned.
Just buy OEM parts.
First bought a Bosch HEPA filter. It reduced the air coming from the vents by at least 40%. Also made the ac louder.
Then bought a K&N cabin filter and read about the off gassing so I will be returning that as well.
Bought an AEM air filter. Made the engine noise louder. Returning tomorrow
Drove to dealership and bought both the OEM cabin and engine air filters for $47. One thing about the engine air filter is that it’s about half the thickness of my original one. It also doesn’t have the extra foam material on the bottom. Parts guy couldn’t tell me why. I installed it and it fits so I guess it’s fine.

I'm looking in to new socket sets after this fiasco. My set is decent but definitely not as quality as I need. I'll check out GearWrench, thanks for the suggestion.

I'm happy with their tools. I'd also check out SK Tools depending on your budget.
I have 2 tool boxes and numerous duplicates from different manufacturers. I bought this impact 3/8 set and locking extensions. I VERY rarely go into my main tool box anymore when working on/maintaining our 3 vehicles.

Sorry for the late reply, just now seeing this. I tapped into the cigarette 12v outlet near the USB port under the radio. I like how that circuit shuts off when the truck is off so the radio won't stay on draining the battery.

My LFD sliders FINALLY arrived. I began sanding them tonight. I'll probably go over them again tomorrow with a dremel to get in the nooks and crannies that I couldn't get into today. I'm hoping to get these all painted and put on my 4Runner by Sunday at the latest, but I do have until Thursday since I'll be heading to Rausch Creek Off Road park on Friday for their event on Saturday. I'm only going with the green group because it's my first time and my truck is still mostly stock, but I'd still like to have them on anyway.
