Did some maintenance this morning. Front/rear diffs, oil change, and new air filter. Next weekend is trans fluid change with new filter.

Finally got the spacers I needed for the side rails of the rack Im building. Still waiting on the materials for crossbars. This project i believe was the final straw for my cheapness and need for instant gratification!!! Long story short. Spend the money and wait to get the right shit or spend double and wait twice as long. * Should be able to finish it off next week. BTW anyone know a place near salt lake city I can get some 80/20??

I thought of you a month ago when I put my 1st dent into my 4Runner. Took it over to my local body shop who installed my UCA's and did my BMC. He knocked the dent out for free and wouldn't take any $.

Said to me: "I'm sure you'll be back with some more significant body work in the future..."

Did some trails at Rausch Creek Saturday with taco and jeep friends. Good time!

Got to use the hilift when I didn’t see a stump and it got wedged in between the muffler and diff.

Did a bunch of trails and managed to hit Crawlers Ridge, Topless for Tatas and Krawlin for Cops without any crowds. I want to hit 38C next trip…looks fun.

With a newer black truck I need it. Went down one trail Sat that was way too overgrown (Trails called Yellow Jacket…won’t be doing that one again). Dragged branches the entire way. I don’t leave it on long; just for wheeling trips. Maybe a week max. This is their “newer” material with vinyl backing. For some reason it gets a lot of bubbles in it but still does it’s job. If you put it on correctly it doesn’t come off on the Highway even at 80-85mph. It works for me. I store it flat and keep it really clean.

Removed rear sway bar. I removed the front a few months ago and wish i would have removed the back at the same time. Its a little more body roll but not tremendously bad like i had been warned. Now onto removing the rest of the kdss system. I will be selling the entire system if anyone is in need.

I've thought about doing this. You just going to live with the KDSS light on all the time? Or are you plugging the lines at the box and leaving that part in tact?

Installed my Nise Rack! Jason the creator of Nise Rack was fantastic to work with. I needed a quick solution for exterior storage (mainly recovery, air up/down, dirty storage) and I got this rack delivered, installed, and ready to go in about 10 days! Also, this setup is easy(ier) on the wallet.

Swapped my rear garnish/hatch panel, whatever it's called, to a color matched one with black emblem overlays (from: runnin4tacos) verses the black with chrome letters. Funny how the chrome "4Runner" wasn't straight/level from the factory. :crazy: Only issue I had was adding some extra weather stripping inside the garnish when re-installing. I highly suggest using blue tape to mask a lot of the rear panel to keep from scratching your paint.

Im taking the whole system out and selling it. Including the box. Ill likely deal with the light or remove it from cluster if its too big of a deal.

Not much: installed my traction mats on the roof basket, will install locks and re-install the shovel. Probably cruise the Mall later

Installed the Ironman Foam Cell Pro (Stage 2 Kit) - very straightforward. Having the struts pre-built was key!

Front sequence:

Remove brake line connections / ABS sensor
Disconnect sway bar linkage from spindle
Remove ball joint from spindle
Bungie spindle
Remove UCA (make room on passenger side by disconnecting an AC line bracket)
Remove strut top nuts
Remove strut bottom nut / bolt
Rotate sway bar upwards and fully forward (involves removing skid plate and sway bar mounts)
Remove strut
Pretty much reverse on the way back in
Install the sway bar bracket from kit
Installed new engine splash guards from Rad Rubber Designs

Rear sequence - I did each step on both sides before moving to next step:

Disconnect sway bar linkage from frame
Remove shocks
Remove springs (with linkage disconnected and no shocks both sides came out without a fuss)
Install new springs (use floor jack on opposite side / bottle jack not needed on near side)
Connect sway bar linkage
Install shocks

Solo job -- about 6 hours (3rd time doing suspension on Toyotas and this rig only had 5k miles which helped)
Jack stands and have air tools
Removing the spare tire helped
Having a 19mm gearwrench would have been helpful

Just found that mine is broken after 10 years of good use. Going to order a new one. Do the letters and emblem easily remove from the old one or did you replace with new? Did you have to order gasket separate or did it come with it?

I just replaced the letters/emblem. I didn't want to mess with trying to remove the previous ones. Plus when you do that you're going to lose the adhesiveness. Yes the gasket comes separate. I had to add some more weather stripping as well because when I re-attached the panel there was some gaps that the factory gasket wasn't thick enough to cover.

Yesterday I finally got my shipment of sliders from Shrockworks.

Beautifully packed, and the powder coat (I went with the textured black) is some of the best I've ever seen.

Going to go install them right now!
