Changed the battery, original one was on it's last bit of juice. Got almost 7 years out of it and I just went over 100k. Ended up going with the Odyssey battery. I don't have a ton of extra's at the moment and it sounds like people are getting some serious life out of them with regular use.
drivers side mirror was hit a few weeks ago and had a crack in it. Local dealer wanted $500 plus for install and part (297). :suspicious:
Searched around and another dealer price matched mcgeorge at $200. Install took all of 15 minutes this morning. I didn't have to remove entire door panel, was able to pop off a few tabs from the top to unplug the wiring harness.

I installed the Pedal Commander yesterday. Installation was fairly easy, just awkward. First impressions are, well, impressive. I'm enjoying the new life the 4Runner seems to possess.
Would I say this is a "must have" mod? No.
Is it worth the money? I think that's highly subjective. For me it's a "yes", but my military discount also helped make that cost more palatable. (Ordered directly from PC)
I'm still playing around with the settings, finding the sweet spots. The Bluetooth app definitely is a big bonus too.
[and yes, I know, I need to clean the 4Runner lol]

Ok… this time with pics. So put in the anytime camera on a 21 limited. Easy to do. I chose to put it next to the radar. Offset. Doesn’t bother me that it is not centered. I prefer to see the bumper. One could put it lower and centered but you would lose the sight line to the limited chrome bumper.
The wanderlost overand video is a must to know what to do. The only change for me was I put the switch next to the infotainment unit. Did not have to take off the panels below the steering wheel. Also, the premium camera can be mounted vertical or horizontal. Mine is vertical. Many videos say you have to do it this way, which was true, but now the camera has more flexibility.

Haven't posted in a while, but have been getting out often. Just got back from a nice trip down the OR coast. I'll be headed back in a couple weeks with some visitors from out of town.

Installed Diode Dynamics interior LED lights (red). I'm big on keeping my night vision, comes with the job I guess. These things are great, really glad I did this.
Looks great! So I’ve been thinking about doing the same because we do a lot of camping and I don’t want all of the bugs in the car. But other times I want the regular white light. Happen to know if there are any quality LED’s that you can color change with Bluetooth on your phone or anything?

Well you just answered both of my questions- (1) will this work with the 2021 Limited and (2) where to mount the camera since the radar sits flush with the front of the grill. Thanks!!!

If I were to do it again I’d a) push it just a tad more forward under that lip. .. more flush with the radar. B) put it on the right side of the radar. That radar blocks the right side view in my config, which is ok as I’m mostly caring about space between me and the car in front for parking n stuff, but the right side would be better for parallel parking visibility. I’ll prob move it this weekend. It’s easy. All you have to do is take off the plastic bit in the front above the radiator.

Installed LT over the weekend. Welded on and kind of fabricated one of the bump stop sleeves today. cut the bumper+ added rear spacers. The fox bumps and new 2.5 rears will be here and I’ll put them on over the weekend. It’s coming along really well. It had icon mid travel for a little bit it just wasn’t handling running like i wanted.

Just got back today from a long weekend outing for some camping and exploring around Estes Park, CO. Camped up Pole Hill Rd just outside of town which was a really fun combination of off-roading and isolation!

Started installing my dobinsons mrr kit yesterday. I didn’t like where they wanted to mount the reservoir so I cut the provided bracket and welded it above the bump stop.
Haven’t started the fronts yet! Hope to be all done by the weekend
