Road trip up to to my remote rural property in W. VA..1200 mile round trip, the 4R performed flawlessly..

Driving on the road in to the property made me realize a slight lift and some better tires are in order...

For the folks who have 285s on the limited (or sports now). If you clear by the fender mod/ heat gun etc. is it all good for the full range of travel and angle? It’s not obvious to me that if it clears statically with steering locked that one would clear if compressed all the way as well?

Does anyone know if clearing on flat road at full steering lock ensures that at full compression you are still good?

I have wheeled my rig and no rub during articulation. However, this isn't always the case and just because you clear on a flat road doesn't mean you will clear while wheeling. Its a trial and error process where you get everything to the point you want and go test it out.

RCI Sliders

Installed RCI sliders yesterday. No tread plate and the 5 degree slant.
Really happy with them and super easy to install.

Nice choice! Got the tread plate version on mine with kick out…yes easy install and happy. Rattle can bed liner holding up as well!

I ordered a set of Falken Wildpeaks E Load rating in 265/70/17 yesterday. Scheduling the install sometime next week. Today, the wife and I gave Max a bath. Nice and clean now and ready for the next rains.

I was driving down the parking structure of my work and a gate had come down by a foot or so and hit my roof rack and antenae on my 1 month old ORP. So now I have to file a claim after getting an invoice for parts and labor. Let's see how long that takes.

Yes, but just the start button trim only. It says for Tacoma, but it fits perfectly. I used a small flat head screwdriver. Pried it at the top and popped it off. Then I took the new trim ring and matched the prongs. It was easy because the old chrome piece was scratched so I knew how to orientate the new ring. Cost was $15 shipped.

Just ordered Diode Dynamics SS3 Max fogs. The stock LED fogs are pretty weak IMO. I had the pros on my Pro and they were great. So I figured I would go with the Max. And then I will probably look into the Brite Box mod. I was interested in the SSC2's for ditch lights, but I would prefer brighter lights that I can use daily. I also don't like having lights that are easily stolen. About to order the front seat jackers for no other reason than people say they make the ride more comfortable and I like to save money on things I don't need.

Just keep in mind that what makes fog lights good at near field lighting makes them terrible at distance lighting. If you're looking for more street-legal lighting, Diode makes kits that incorporate SAE J581 compliant driving lights (to use as auxiliary high beams).

KC HiLites also makes compliant driving lights in their 6" gravity series, but those are a bit harder to hide in the grill.
