What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Can I say what I didn't do yet? Don't want to jinx myself but haven't broken anything yet while removing the subwoofer panel in '18 Limited w/ JBL soon to be NOT JBL

Changed oil at 1,100 miles. Oil looked brand new, but the filter was dirtier than I expected. Maybe not necessary, but peace of mind having the factory oil and filter plus any machining residue out. Trying Valvoline advaced full synthetic and oem filter.

Just my humble opinion, but if all new car owners did this, their cars would last a LOT longer. Of course, combine that with 5k normal interval oil changes.

I changed my first oil change at 500 miles and then at 5300 miles. Currently at 9985, so due in the next week or so.

Had a lot of upgrades done this week.

Front end: Warn LoPro bumper, transferred my PIAA LP 560's over from my bull bar, DD SS3 sport fog yellow lights, new LED Sylvania lo beam bulbs, 4Raptor lights.

I went for a 2.5" lift with my 285/70-17's.

Thanks. I wasn’t planning on suspension for a couple months, but they had one set of Radflo’s left in stock with the reservoir’s and adjustments at the Toyota off-road shop I use in Monrovia. They are awaiting another shipment. A complete set for about $600 off and no wait. I even went with an obscure name brand UCA from Australia called Nolathane. Does not interfere with positive offsets. Ride, handling and braking are all improved, especially considering all my extra weight. They are great on the street and highway. Will have to see how this setup performs off-road. Was considering Kings and Icons.

Wife and kids were out of town for the weekend, so I took the opportunity to go drive some of the FS roads around Mt. Rainier. The views never disappoint.

While I was out I tried out some really rutty spots to flex on and see if I had done enough trimming to fit the 35x10s. The answer was no, I had not. So Sunday I pulled out the cutoff wheel and started trimming. Got 1 side done and the other side about halfway before it started getting dark. I'll finish it up tonight.

My warn epic hook thingy came in....50 bucks on clearance...would have preferred black, but this one was a third of cost....its beefy...may still paint it.

Yesterday I FINALLY got the front windows tinted and a sun strip done too. Sorry I don't have any pictures.

At 50k miles I finally lifted it. Bilstein 6112/5160 kit with RSG sliders, new 285 Toyos (added a matching TRD pro wheel / Toyo as a spare underneath) and rear Firestone airbags. Very happy with the outcome.

Have previously run BFG KOs and KO2s over the last 15 years, they were horrible in rain/sleet so I went a different route with the E-rated 10 ply Toyos. Happy so far!

Very nice!....I consider myself a bit of a hooter connoisseur. I have noticed that not all hooters like nice smooth rides...some prefer rough bumpy rides.

Got in an oil change today and finally got the RCI skids installed.
I still have to install the rear shock mounts skids. I have the lower link skids but I am not installing those (they are available, hint, hint). I also removed the lower air dam thingy.

Edit:
And since I am still the last post. Installed the shock mount skids - would have been easier removing the wheel. But that was just extra work.
Also finally changed out the 9 year old halogen low beam bulbs. I can see again!

Yes...direct from warn website...less than a week to receive.

At 10,173 miles and 1.5 years ownership, got the oil changed and tires rotated. Max is now ready for our next adventure!

My 4Runner almost has 180k miles, and I considered replacing the arm rest/door card with new OEM parts, but I don’t wanna know what that might cost.
