What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

34" tires

You should extend your front bump stop, because the moment the tire hits the upper fender at full flex while offroading, it will bow out your entire front fender, and you will have a gap between the fender and the door.

Even if you don't offroad, you can mimic this by doing quick U-turns on steep driveway entrances or quick left turns into steep driveways. You will smash your upper fender (I think thats the only street condition to get my tire to smash my fender). Around here, steep driveways are unavoidable, but if you can avoid them, i guess you can get away with not needing extended bumps.

You can take the shock out and do some at home tuning, or just buy a 1/2 inch spacer for the front bump stops. I run some cheap energy suspension bumps and a 1/2 inch steel spacer/extension. My math was simple. I didnt rub with 33's at full flex or when I g-out'd. I did with 34's. and they are 1/2 inch taller...so I threw a 1/2 inch spacer in and called it a day.

As for the pinch welds, you will have to do this sooner or later. Proactively do it now, to prevent damage to your tire and fender, or do it later, because you damaged your tire or fender..lol.

Go look up sandy cats on youtube, for what you have to do. He'll walk you through the hard way (home tuning) or easy way....1/2 inch spacer lol.

Thanks for your input will do!

Been sitting at a Toyota dealership for two hours to get a gremlin diagnosed. Lights no longer shutoff with a double-click. I already replaced the relay, and assumed it was a quick ECU flash.

****update****

3hrs later the reason is that I have aftermarket foglights. Ok, doesn't explain why everything was good for the first month of the lights. Fortunately, they only charged me $155 for doing nothing.

****last update***

Finally stumbled on a post here from 2015 where somebody else, and many people later, had the same issue. It was the jamb door switch on the driver's side. Swapped with the passenger side switch and it is now working properly. Lights won't shut off if the driver door is open. Also explains why it was locking itself, ha.

Replaced the blower motor in my 2019. Monday the blower just wouldn't come on. Monday at work bought a replacement from Amazon that had decent reviews. Today installed it in the parking lot at work with 2 Tacoma guys watching so they know what to do in a couple years when theirs die. Also replaced the cabin filter while I was down there. Extremely easy repair.

This is my 1st time posting on this forum and to be honest I’m not sure how to post, where to post.
I have a 2010 4Runner SR5. Have done some upgrades ( will list once I’m in the right place)
Anyway, I am in need of new tires and have questions on what I need to do to put larger times than the 285x70x17s that I have on.
and hello to all that gather here, for advice and to share.

they fit stock. throw them on. remove mud flaps. (lift doesnt change clearance on an IFS unless you limit up travel)

(aftermarket wheels change everything)

Slow day at the shop, so I washed the rig real quick! Cleans up nice.

Are those Methods matte or gloss finish?

Weather finally abated and warmed enough to work outside: Added my Molle behind-the-seat storage and cleaned out the back. Did minor repairs to driving lites (needed tightening). A few other things. If weather stays warm (at least above freezing!), heading to the range to try out a few new Rugers (Wife's PC9 carbine and G19 and my AR556 and G29 SF.)

Well not quite today but yesterday I bought it. 2017 sr5 premium. Is there a section for build threads or should I just start mine under the 5g forum?

Totally get that. They are almost too bright, but it's better than the no maps lights I had. My last LED lights lasted 2 years. Hopefully these last longer. I do really like the red since I camp inside the Runner

the fit and finish looks nice on those too, very OEM. the toggle and the red are nice features for sure. I tried to order them a while back with the dome light but meso was out of stock for a long time
