What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Sorry for the bad break. I just recently installed a rear camera and I can tell you it isn't a fun process running the wiring through the hatch area. Have nowhere to go for a few hours.

Here's the one I bought: It works great and you can ditch the license plate bracket if needed.

Random. I have a 2019 ORP and when I close the driver's window on auto and proceed to close the door midway, the window stops moving. It happens to the passenger side as well, but not the rear windows. Is this normal or is something wonky? I still have autonation's limited warranty so planning to take it to the dealer if not normal.

Sounds like a bad regulator.

Try some silicone spray along the door belt molding weatherstrip to see if that will free it up some until you can replace the regulator.

It's completely normal, mine has done it since new. The thud of the door closing makes the pinch sensor stop the window from moving. Annoying but is what it is. Close the door softer and it won't happen.

Got back this morning from a quick overnight camping trip in the mountains. Slept in the car with my dog and we were nice and warm even though it got down to freezing temps.

Over the past few days I’ve done a few more things to my 4Runner:

Yesterday I replaced the 15amp cigarette lighter fuse and installed some AVS wind deflectors.

Today I gave it its first wash. Which made me realize these Trd wheels are a pain to clean, and I need to do a paint correction on the hood to address the slight oxidation I’m seeing.

I also replaced the front abs wire which I tore a couple weeks back and installed toyota wheel locks.

"2016 4Runner SR5's" response was on point. I was unaware of the pinch safety sensor doing that which makes total sense in hindsight. I'll keep that in mind with my rig. My apologies for any confusion.

I find ditch lights super useful but not a fan of the look on the 4Runner so experimenting with some hidden ditch lights through one of the handles on the Sherpa roof rack. Haven’t had the chance to aim yet but liking it so far

Is that an actual EcoTechne roof rack, or one of the clones I've been seeing pop up for sale? How was the fitment and installation if the latter? Definitely one of the best looking racks for the 5th gen imo :thumb:

That is a clone (off brand). It is solid. I did have to add a couple washers (1 rubber and 1 steel) for the front bracket. The holes are not quite aligned. If they would make that front bracket about 1/4" taller, it would fit perfect.

Apex Overland front tow hooks.

Installed the Apex Overland front tow hooks on my T4R. Pretty easy install, except on the wallet, but peace of mind if I need to get pulled out. They are pretty darn stout too.
