I ask because the color & emblems suggest “real” but the hood scoop and roof rails seem not.

Hood scoop only became black starting 2019.
Roof rails were probably changed/wrapped or painted.

It's a real Pro. 2015 the first year of the Pros, they came with the body colored hood scoop and your standard 4Runner roof rack. The previous owner swapped out the silver rails for black.

Finished up my drawer system. Pulled it out and coated the entire thing in bed liner. I also added this small table and stained it and finished it off with polyurethane. Made some minor tweaks from my initial design and super happy with how it came out.

I heard rumor that a lot of people told Toyota that if there is no V-6 option for the 6th Gen that they won’t buy it. I know I made that clear to Toyota. I have zero interest in a V-4 Turbo. Turbos increase chances of maintenance issues and dramatically increases repair cost. The reason many people love the 4Runner is because the engine and transmission is basic, simple and reliable.

California is trying to force auto manufacturers into selling V-4 only to improve fuel efficiency. They also know that their policies will be forced on the rest of the US because they are the biggest car market and companies like Toyota makes their cars compliant for all 50 states.

Toyota doesn't care. The dealers especially don't care. They'll still sell a million of them. Everyone always gets up in arms when a new generation comes out. And then they drive it.

I also really hope you told them you didn't want a V-4 turbo to really hammer your point across.

Yeah. I realize it's a tangent but the only v4 automotive application I recall is the Saab 99? in the 60s. Motorcycles have used it a bit more?

Thanks! And yes it is. The “medium double” size is 41” x 72” which is the perfect dimensions for a 4Runner as well as my gfs Subaru Outback! I’m lucky I got a spanking deal on mine because these things are pricey!

May as well start posting or I'll never get my post count to a place where I can actually start thread...

Found an Expedition Essentials dash mount hanging around a local shop, so I installed that and some ram mount bits and pieces I had laying around for holding phones (my phone does not do android auto, so I wanted to conveniently see my phone screen for navigation).

Is it a perfect solution, in my opinion; no. I was going to get the Lab Ops Gear one for its integrated design. But I can't really complain about the one I ended up with.

We bit the bullet a couple years ago and bough three (3!!) Megamat 10 XLs during the REI semi-annual sale. They basically fill up the floor of our Gazelle 4 person tent. a Wyoming king fitted sheet fits around all 3. It's has basically been life changing for going camping with a 4 person family in a single tent!
