Same. 2020 JLUR and got the wife a 2021 4R TRDP. She loves it, but it's not exactly "quiet" on the highway either!

Installed Diode Dynamics Stage Series Flush Mount Reverse Lights in pods I designed and 3-D printed. Due to the shape of the 4R rear bumper, flush-mounting these lights puts them at an angle that didn't result in the intensity directly behind the vehicle I was looking for. (Yeah, they're pretty floody, and flush-mounted in the bumper is probably sufficient for any sane person, but I wondered if I could get them to point straight back.) They look a little silly--I may downsize the "loft" off the bumper so they're not so prominent--but they now send light straight back. (Fun project, but dang hard to match all the curves in the stupid bumper!)

Now thats the way to do it. nice work.

Hey everyone….new to the 4R world. Sold my dream on Saturday for something a little more family/road trip friendly. Wife said my 2012 Jeep with 1 ton axles, 4.5” long arm suspension with Coilovers topped off with an LS3 motor swap which I’d been building since I bought it new wasn’t good for family trips. ALTHOUGH I WON’T ADMIT THIS TO HER….she wasn’t wrong. It averaged 9.5 mpg on 93 octane and to hold a conversation on the highway you had to basically scream.

Fast forward I purchased a new to me 2021 Venture… with the TRD package??? I’m wanting to keep this family friendly even though I ride my motorcycle mostly everywhere unless there’s heavy rain or ice/snow. BUT after less than 2 days I’ve started a list *. I don’t like the brake dip or the rake and am looking for a leveling kit which will keep the comfortable ride but give that nice stance. Any help would be much appreciated.

Still sad about parting with my mistress but I will say I enjoy being able to talk with my daughter in the back seat while cruising down the highway.

king has OEM spec coilovers/shocks for these. but if you wanna stay on the factory style side, bilstein 6112/5100, fox 2.0 series, eibach, dobinsons. 1.25" wheel spacers from spidertrax and some 285/70-17's in the C rated flavor. little bit of lift, little bit of stance, little bit of trimming.

Finally, I took a walk around the property to look for antler sheds, but none yet. Still seeing deer with their antlers.

Really? Where do you live? This is very late for deer to still be holding onto their antlers. IN NY where I lived most of my life there were never antlered deer this late in the season.

Stevensville, Montana. They typically shed late March to early April. Seen antlered deer within the last week.

Washed, waxed and changed to the summer wheels. Some of the remaining foil (black matt) applied to the hood. Because of all the Sahara dust in the air here in Europe, it will stay in the garage for the rest of the Easter weekend.

Replaced front brakes (pad & rotors & caliper pins) at 64k miles. I got my money's-worth out of the stock pads...they were worn down, but not quite down to the backing plates yet. The rotors were almost full thickness still, but need resurfacing due to slight pedal pulsation. I'll have them turned and save them for the next service at 128k miles, or sell them to someone ready-to-use.

Also patched a very small nail hole in one of the front tires (which are only 5k miles old).

Family happiness comes first! Those worn mudder tires are the worst for noise and a soft top or panel top is next to zero sound deadening for keeping out wind and highway noise. On your new ride go for some sort of all terrain tires, not mudders.

I replaced the dryer sheets under the hood and on the cabin air filter, refreshed the peppermint oil. Mouse deterrent. Happy to report that they, the ultrasonic devices I installed recently and my feral cats are working.

After sitting on my shop bench for a year I finally got around to installing the Bilstein 6112 leveling kit on the 4runner. She sits correct now. I dig it.
