Hahaha! Yup, black 4Runner turning yellow before I can finish drying it and get it hidden back in the garage. If it isn't the pollen, it's the water spots.

I was just looking at these speakers today, as my front passenger one is blown and died. Did Crutchfield
include the harness and brackets?

Yes bracket and harness was included, you just need to make sure you add it to your cart when checking out. When you add your vehicle info (year, model etc..) it will show the brackets and harness.

Replaced the rear rotors, calipers and pads on the 2014 4Runner today.

We took the 2014 in for body and paint work on the front end. Wife rear ended someone earlier and the previously dented (backing out of garage) left front fender and bumper shell gave it up. It’s also getting a new used hood to correct the popcorn dents from the exploded fan blade after the fan clutch seizure. Should have it back by Thursday.

Raybestos R-300 High Performance Slotted rotors. Pads ended up being Napa ceramic.

Got the 2014 4R back from body and paint work. Delayed a day waiting for new head light housings. The tabs were broken on the left housing and I was not going to let them try and glue them. The housings were originals and were already yellowing and fogging. Also, the left fender flare was broken at the rear. So new OEM housings and flare. Suddenly, my Sig Sauer P 365 X Macro Compensated birthday gift doesn’t look so expensive.

I Love my Redarc Tow-Pro. Installed it last summer when we got our Travel Trailer and it's been great! Easy straight forward install too.

What I did to my 4 runner today!

Today I installed Kicker KSC270 in dash speaker. the clarity is much improved sound quality. got window tinted a little bit ago and finally changed the light inside to led.

another oil change...once such a chore, now its a 20 min task.

but also, air filter, cabin filter, new tires, windshield washer fluid refill too

then i went looking for the source of all of the rattling and vibrating underneath. and i ended up finding a bunch of heat-shielding that was in various states of loose...some i bonded back in place, others i simply pulled off.

now my truck is quiet again...and looking to get it to 200,000 miles to get to a bunch of fluid swaps: transmission, front & rear diffs, transfer case, radiator coolant

i simply do LOVE this vehicle.

After work yesterday changed front and rear differential fluid and transfer case fluid. Lubed the drive shafts and rotated tires. Made my wife hand me tools and operate the garden pump for the fluid as her punishment for not logging this maintenance on her 2023 ORP. I believe I last did this at 30K and the truck now has 51K miles. I still need to change cabin and air filter.

Observations: Front and rear brake pads have little wear and should go another 40K miles. Front tires are worn to the bars on the inside. Overall, tires have about 5K to 10K left of wear on them. Truck averaged 19.5 mpg on the trip down from Montana to SoCal and it was loaded down with equipment.

Built a bike rack on the rear hatch. Connects to sherpa rack, stopper bolt, and license plate bolt. Ladder struts hold the weight of the bike when the hatch is open. Doesn't contact the paint even when wheeling

Replaced the rear wiper and motor today. Just waiting on the foam seal for the spoiler to arrive so I can put that back on. Next projects:
(1) Differentials and transmission fluids
(2) Remove that cargo area sliding tray to create a larger flat area to haul things.
