3rd gen runner vibration from rear end

So I changed my shoes about 3 weeks ago... since then I've had a terrible smell from the rear end (drums constant rubbing on shoes) which later caused a vibration I've changed my shocks and going to change a lot more since the car sat for six years and literally has most factory suspension lmao but it was driving perfectly fine before the change and I left it lose can this be by chance a bad adjuster? I also just replaced the wheel cylinder on the side that keeps over adjusting any thoughts what I can do or has this happened to anyone??

Sorry I'm new to this um I own a 96 runner basically stock sr5 2wd v6.. also any tips on fixing the windows after I got it to work after 6 years the windows didn't roll down!! I checked the fuses and I can't figure it out only window that rolls down it's the rear window(trunk/hatch window??

Did you check the window safety switch on the driver's door console? Although on my 99 that doesn't affect the driver's window.

Agreed, but the pdf's I've seen are generic 3rd gen's, i.e. "96-02". Well we all know that these vehicles were not all the same, so one size can't fit all. Much is the same, but some things are not. So I wanted to get the manual that's specific to my year. If there are year-specific pdf manuals, I'd be curious to see one.

Otherwise, I do exactly like you - I print out the pdf pages I need for the job, so that I don't get the shop manual too greasy . But I do check the pdf version against the printed shop manual, because I have often found subtle (and not so subtle) differences in things like wiring diagrams and bolt torque values.

The actual PDFs that you get from Toyota TechInfo are definitely model year specific and identical to the printed version. You can get a 1 day subscription to TechInfo for $15, however the sections all come as individual PDFs so you'll have to spend some time downloading and combining them together yourself.

Wow, good info, I wasn't familiar with the TIS site. Very useful/powerful resource, and $15 for a 2 day trial is not bad at all, especially if you are deep into a complex job and need some additional resources. I'll still use my bound FSM for browsing, but this is a great backup plan if needed. Thanks for the tip!
