Yup, I'm planning on a 500 mile trip on Sunday (heading up your way, with a small detour!), I doubt I would have made it even halfway there like this. Phew.

Fun story -- many, many moons ago I replaced a CV joint on a friend's little econobox Tercel. We rode over to the parts store to bring back the core and heard a clunking after a mile or two. I was worried I had really messed something. Turned out I forgot to tighten the lugs on one wheel.
In the parts store, "hey, can I borrow a lug wrench real quick?"
Parts guy: "Sure, why?"
Me: "Oh, no reason."

Doing Bilstein 6112 in the front(4runner specific)
Doing ome 906 with 4runner specific bilstein in the rear
Over all 2” lift
I’m running 265/75’s so didn’t want more than a 2” lift tbh
We’ll see how it goes the front shocks are beefy as hell

LOL. I’m doing the exact same lift. I have all the parts sitting in the garage, just waiting on the time to do it.

I just did a 2" with 880's 5100/ and 906 5100's. I really like it so far. I put it on the 3rd ring.

I still stand by my theory. There was a drug dealer in VA who had drugs stored in his brothers car, where the latter sold the car unknown to the dealer so the dealer went hunting for the new owner but found the car in the police impound lot. He tried to break in but didn’t get far obviously.
How are the threads?

I'd be happy to blame this on someone else, so I agree
.I'll pull the tire off today and check the threads and the mating surface, although the guy at America's Tire pulled it off yesterday and had a look, and I was looking over his shoulder. Looked pretty normal from that vantage point.
New battery and alternator
Well it looks like time caught up with me. Had fluctuating voltage on my 4 runner. So I replaced the battery on Friday only to have the alternator quit on Sunday.. Swapped it today and to my amazement it is the original with 229445 original miles. I am going to keep it and have it rebuilt and possibly have its output boosted..
Can anybody recommend a good shop the one here in town recently closed for good. Thanks Ray..

Things happen. Chances are you won't let that one happen again! At least you did the 2nd most important thing and paid attention to the resulting sound and didn't put it on the back burner.

I got my locker working in the replacement axle, turn the drums and I'm close to bolting her in. Now to clean the garage for replacement day, hopefully in 2 weeks. I've got order eimkeith 's panhard kit, weld it in and than repaint. Wow its mastery of the little things that make a good build( devil in the details).

Remember that old Sesame Street game? One of these things is not like the other....
You have a pile of good quality parts there and 2 Monroe boxes on top. Monroe doesn't belong with all that beautiful gear.
YMMV but everything Monroe, everything I have used on my 2 previous vehicles lasted less than a year before is was making some noise or quirk or just quit working. I'd stick to used OEM before new Monroe any day.
That's my rant. Just trying to save you some of the frustrations I have had. It's just not well made. Best of luck.

Took off runners, changed antenna to manual Tacoma one, upgraded to 199mm tundra brake kit, led taillights and did the OEM lower ball joints.
Installed the cheapest Chinese Android headunit I could find ($86 shipped) and did the taco whip mod since my auto antenna snapped.
Installed new bell cranks and lc 8 wraps extended brake lines etc.
Snapped about 20 bolts

Refreshed the rear bumper cover with Forever Black. Super happy with the results, very easy to prep and apply, just hope it lasts!

Second coat:
I applied a third coat, but really it didn't make any difference, so two coats looks like the sweet spot.
This now makes the rest of the truck look neglected.
