Installed new tundra calipers after the others were defective, installed toytec steel braided brake lines in the front and rear, bled the whole system, installed new LBJs, and replaced old bumpstops with plastic guy ones. Phew, don’t ever want to do that again. Only thing left is bed the brakes.

Converted the front corner lights to a dual filament bulb and turn them into parking and turn signals. also black them out without breaking them open. That was nice

So I finally got to the "mount RTT" part of my trip prep. I thought the backyard was dry enough to mount it like normal. I was pretty wrong on that and ended up using the Tred boards to get out. The only real take away is the Treds work and I now hate the Rock Mountain Matterhorn roof rack. The good news is this time next week I will be sitting around a camp fire in Big Bend Ranch State Park enjoying the weather and solitude.

Schrockworks? They have a real stout bumper set. I keep talking myself out of a swingout rear bumper but I am sure at some point I am going to end up ordering a SW rear bumper.

I was, less work with a US engine. However, there's really none to be had at the moment so can't be too picky I guess. I have to strip it down to the heads and move everything over from my old engine though, boooo.

Today I got first pick of a donor Tacoma. We scored manual hubs, spindles, CV shafts, UBJs and diff tube for about 70 bucks. The '96 T4R may have manual hubs in the near future.
